Full of the joys of spring (style), I wore this outfit last weekend when it was sunny and mild – well it was at home, anyway.
One 20-minute trip in the car later, and it was raining and chilly at the other end… Brilliant. Luckily I’d taken a large wrap scarf with me because we were headed to the cinema and it sometimes gets cold in there, so it was used outside rather than in this time.
But wet weather aside, I couldn’t wait to wear this spring-like outfit of pink, mint, white and grey. None of the pieces are new, so it’s nice to wear a new combo from already-owned items in my wardrobe. My winter coats are still on standby and as much as I want to wear my orange animal print coat or my blue and white check duster coat again, it feels wrong to be wearing them still when it’s May next month.
WET WEATHER ASIDE, I COULDN’T WAIT TO WEAR THIS SPRING-LIKE OUTFIT OF PINK, MINT, WHITE AND GREY. NONE OF THE PIECES ARE NEW, SO IT’S NICE TO WEAR A NEW OF COMBO FROM ALREADY-OWNED ITEMS IN MY WARDROBE.
The combination of a mild winter (that seems to be lingering somewhat) and a pre-Christmas injury that forced me to spend much of the winter indoors means my winter coats have hardly been worn. When I put them back into storage at the end of the month (meaning yes, if the temperature drops freakishly I’m going to be cold) it’ll feel like I only just unpacked them, especially as we had a late summer holiday to Santorini last year and I was wearing a bikini in October.

But this time of year, for me, is my favourite time because you have everything to look forward to: Days getting longer, temperatures (hopefully) rising, flowers coming into bloom and trees growing leaves all of a sudden. (Does it seem that way to anyone else? One day they have no leaves, the next day – BOOM. All the leaves have grown overnight.)
This Sunday I’ll be publishing my latest update for my #notlambFIT series – it’s not going great at the moment, damn you, Easter!! Need to get my motivation back. At least it’ll be an honest post and something you can all relate too…!

oh oh oh … I love this outfit. Love the jacket, the colours (thanks for the pink underneath the green… so nice). And I really really like your haircut. I hadn't had time to really look at it, but you these pictures show it very well. Beautiful. I actually prefer it to your old cut even though that was good too. This is somehow … "softer"?

Living here in the Algarve, you'd think I'd be able to share lots of lovely warm weather style posts with you at the moment but no… it's still really cold! And apparently it's going to be raining all week long 🙁 I've always been bit of a winter gal myself but not this year. I'm hankering for some sun!! At least we had a little sun at the weekend and I was able to get a few style posts written.
Love the colours of your outfit – especially the mint with the pink!

Oh no Suzy – yes I would have expected a lot of sunshine at your end!! It'll come soon enough, I'm sure ;)) Thank you xx
LOVE your haircut! So cute and fresh. I like how you've added something bright to the pastels, that's a great idea to avoid the "washout" effect that pastels so often create.
Thank you Susan – so many compliments about my hair!!!!!
Great look! The colors are so pretty together! Super cute flats, too!
And I just LOVE your hair!!!
I always take a jacket into the movie's—that and earplugs!!
I was just commenting to my hubby that I don't have a pair of mint pants anymore (they don't fit & were given away)! What a nice combo to pair with them!
Do you have snacks in that big bag too?

We didn't have snacks Jodie – we'd had lunch out just beforehand which stops us buying (the very overpriced) popcorn. We did get small tubs of ice cream each though…! x
I love the contrast of colors in this outfit, the pink with the mint and with the gray is perfect for spring. Love your jewelry too! I agree about spring. Today, in the midwest, USA we are having snow!!! Ugg! But as you say, Spring will come, sometime….blue skies, flowers and even in the snow, I can hear the spring birds singing. Lovely post, thank you! – Amy

Hi Catherine, this might be address already but have you had a haircut? I swear you use to have longer hair…lol.
Btw I got your email about the blogger meet-up, you can count me as in. I did redo my profile for the meet-up but thought I'd second say it.

Hi Anna yes I have – about a foot of hair has gone!! That's great about the blogger meet, hope to see you there! x
You look as gorgeous as always and I agree with Lisa and Annette about your haircut. It makes your eyes look even more lovely. That orange wall is amazing and shows the colours of your outfit off beautifully. I'm looking forward to reading your fitness update too. Have a lovely weekend, love Liz xxx http://www.whatlizzyloves.com
Oh Liz thank you!!! You're just the sweetest x
Fitness.. oh dear! Far too long I had excuses (and I had no injury!) but finally signed up for a course starting next week and my running shoes will be used this weekend (please do ask me again on Sunday!)
Currently I am mixing a lot of winter and spring clothes and especially love long blazers/short coats for this transitional season.

I just keep staring at and admiring your haircut; it really is stunning. You look about 26, Catherine!
I love the cheery tones in this outfit… if only Spring would cooperate more! I'm commiserating with you on the fitness hitting a bit of a wall at Easter; I'm hoping to be firmly back on track this week.
Oh blimey Lisa THANK YOU!! Now that compliment has made my day…! Let's back on our fitness game now that Easter is over, haha xx
