Two Tone Leopard Coat, Flared Jeans and White Adidas #iwillwearwhatilike

Winter style: Two tone leopard/black coat, flared jeans, white Adidas Stan Smiths | Not Dressed As Lamb

There’s no theme this week for the link up – basically anything goes as it’s Easter Monday!

We’re still experiencing pretty cold, damp weather in the UK (Storm Katie is blowing a hooley as I write this) so unfortunately I’m not exactly spring-like in this outfit… My leopard coat and flared jeans are reigning supreme. Hope you’ve had a fabulous Easter weekend and not gorged too much on chocolate bunnies 😉

I’ve worn blush pink with this leopard coat before, and it’s a really nice combination I think – something about the contrast of wild animal print and the softest of pinks appeals to me. The flared jeans and white Adidas Stan Smiths are so comfy I think I may be hard-pressed to wear anything else till this weather cheers up a bit – could someone please tell Mother Nature to turn the thermostat up a bit…?!

I wore this outfit for an early morning in the cold watching (and cheering on) my sister and niece run a local 10k race – I would normally have been running it myself but I haven’t done enough running post-injury to be able to run a 10k… My fitness levels just aren’t quite there yet. This weekend I posted some great healthy breakfast recipes (all of them wheat-free and high in protein) that I’m sure you’ll love!

And of course do add your outfits to this week’s link up – no theme so everyone has an equal chance of being featured next week (only if you’ve added a link or my button though of course)!

WHAT HAVE YOU BEEN WEARING AND LINKING UP THIS WEEK? TELL ME BELOW IN THE COMMENTS!

#iwillwearwhatilike | Not Dressed As Lamb
Thank you for joining the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started as a campaign on Instagram in August 2015 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist’s list of “inappropriate” items for 30+ women (including leopard print, short dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yes, really). It was so popular that I decided to carry it on weekly where women of all ages link up their fabulous style, never mind what anyone tells them not to wear!

So link up all your fabulous outfits (or shoes, accessories, make-up, etc.) every Monday at 3pm UK time – it’ll stay open for a week. Whilst the original article was of course aimed at the 30+, you can be ANY age to link up. The only criteria is that you’re wearing whatever you damn well like!

An InLinkz Link-up

PLEASE NOTE
This is for linking up what you’ve been wearing (or would like to wear) only. I like to keep it all looking tidy because I’m a bit of a neat-freak, so non-outfit links will be removed – it’s only fair to others linking up!

Please be a good sport and do the following…

1. Follow your host Not Dressed As Lamb via Bloglovin or Instagram
2. Link up your outfits (blog or Instagram posts) that show how you choose to wear what you like – as many as you like!
3. Include a link back to the post if you’re linking from a blog post, or add my button (below)
4. Post your outfit on Instagram (if you use it) with the hashtag #iwillwearwhatilike – Monday’s the day to join in the IG fun
5. Please do not link up anything other than outfits, shoes, accessories or make-up  non-outfit links will be removed. This link up is for linking up what you’ve been wearing (or would like to wear) only
6. Visit some of the other links and share the love!

We're having the same kind of weather so your outfit looks just like what I want to put on. I'm loving the white addidas, I believe they will be my go-to shoe for the season.

What a brilliant surprise to find myself featured again in your Featured Favourites. Thanks so much Catherine, I'm delighted and very grateful. You look both chic and cosy in today's offering. I love a bit of leopard print myself. It's very clever to have paired it with that sweet nude sweater, just gives you such a huggable look x

Our weather is all over the place as well…but on the bright side, that fabulous coat deserved at least one more outing before warm weather gets here and decides to stick around!

I love leopard print when made well, and this coat is that and more. Love the bush tones and so fun wearing with white sneakers. I wore slip ons last week with bf jeans and get in the mood for it. The soft pink is a lovely blend with the leopard. Hope you had a wonderful Easter.

You were BORN to wear leopard print; it just suits you like nobody else! I love how you're wearing it; you ooze style, but you still look so comfortable and cozy. I have no doubt you were the best-dressed person watching the race… by a mile (haha). xx

  21. 28 March 2016 / 3:00 pm

Thank you for hosting the link-up lovely lady.
I love your leopard print coat and agree that it looks divine with the soft pink. I'm in agreement too that I wish the weather would warm up. Happy Easter to you and your lovely husband xxxxx

  22. 28 March 2016 / 2:48 pm

Great coat! It looks great with the pink sweater! I also love the flares with the sneakers! I only have one pair of flares that work with (quite high) heels, but I really want another pair that'll work with sneakers/flats.

  23. 28 March 2016 / 2:36 pm

That coat is great! Looks cozy! 🙂

  24. 28 March 2016 / 2:35 pm

Sooo thrilled to be one of your faves from last week's floral-themed linkup, dearest Catherine; I'm certainly in some very chic company!! 🙂 And you've managed to put a thoroughly modern spin on these seventies-inspired flare jeans by combining them with sneakers and that super-cozy sweater and coat!! I'm sure your sister and niece did especially well in the race…considering they had stylish you cheering from the sidelines!! XOXO

That coat is quite a statement!! I love it with the blush (I almost thought it was a warm tan from the pictures)!
How'd your sister do in her race? If you had run also—do you guys compete against each other?? How fun!! jodie

    thanks for hosting!!

    • 31 March 2016 / 8:38 pm

Thank you Jodie, so glad you like the coat, it's such a favourite of mine…! My sister and niece were a little slower than last year but still did a really good time (10k in 60 mins). I ran with my husband last year and my sister and niece also ran it – and they beat us by a good 5-10 minutes. The thing is my sister is 53, so 10 years older than me…!!!!!! She puts me to shame 😉

  27. 28 March 2016 / 2:23 pm

OK that backpack is FANTASTIC! Love the simple silhouette with this knit fur combo — the perfect minimalistic touch to those fabulous layers!
