12 More Stylish Over 40 Fashion Bloggers You Should Know

12 More Stylish Over 40 Fashion Bloggers You Should Know

Discovering amazing new over 40 fashion bloggers is one of my favourite things ever about blogging – it totally makes my day to find someone I’ve not seen before whose style I find inspiring.

Since my last round up of 40+ fashion bloggers I wrote more than a year ago (where does time go?) I’ve been making a note of all the other fashionistas I wanted to feature in a “part two” of the same post.

There are so many more I could have included, so this won’t be the last feature post about older bloggers – expect a part three, and maybe even a part four in time…!

These women all show that style has nothing to do with age appropriateness – so many of them put together outfits that would suit girls 20, 30 or even 40 years younger than themselves, and they look nothing short of fabulous in their choices. They’re proof that style is ageless, that we don’t have to stop dressing up or having fun with clothes when we reach 40.

You’ll find nearly every type of style included here: Classic, minimalist, creative, preppy, eclectic, romantic, bohemian… The list goes on. Women of any age can take inspiration from these bloggers. Yes, they are all over 40 (some a lot older than that), but their different styles are undoubtedly timeless – and ageless.

So no matter what your age, grab yourself a cuppa and enjoy perusing the blogs of these lovely ladies – you won’t be disappointed!

HAVE YOU FOUND ANY NEW-TO-YOU BLOGGERS THAT YOU’RE NOW TOTALLY OBSESSING OVER? (I HOPE YOU HAVE!) TELL ME IN THE COMMENTS!

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Kirsten - The LIFB Issue

1. Kirsten – The LIFB Issue

Kirsten is my absolute style guru – she’s so creative, so colourful, so fun with all her looks that she makes me feel quite unimaginative by comparison. She’s German, but the UK is about to steal her for a while: She’s in the process of moving over here to an area near Liverpool where she will stand out for all the right reasons. All that bold pattern and colour – I die…!

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Diane - Fashion on the 4th Floor

2. Diane – Fashion on the 4th Floor

Diane is quite a new blogger – she started just last year – but she’s already proved she’s a serious fashionista with some of the most gorgeous outfits I’ve ever seen. All long limbs and fabulous hair, she’s sometimes a little sports-luxe, sometimes a little grown-up chic, but she’s always spot-on with dressing her proportions right and looking like she’s been a professional stylist for years.

Follow Diane on Instagram: @fashiononthe4thfloor

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Cla - Glam Up Your Lifestyle

3. Cla – Glam Up Your Lifestyle

Cla’s style is quite pared-back, but she always dresses with a lot of creativity and clean lines at the same time. I love her accessorising – she’s never without an oversized bag – and she’s fabulous in jeans or leather trousers which she can totally pull off. She’s a great example of clean European chic at its very best.

Follow Cla on Instagram: @glamupyourlifestyle

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Samantha - Fake Fabulous

4. Samantha – Fake Fabulous

Where do I start with the fabulous Samantha – her creativity knows no bounds! She breaks every style rule there is (quite right, too) and surprises me with each and every new outfit, making them look fun and stylish and so her. As a Scot she dresses for cold weather most of the year, and that’s probably contributed to her mastery of layering. Her writing is also fantastic – she muses on fashion and style with nearly every post, her blog is well worth a thorough read.

Follow Samantha on Instagram: @fakefabulous

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Ann - Kremb de la Kremb

5. Ann – Kremb de la Kremb

One of my long-term blogging buddies, Ann is an American living in Hong Kong whose inspiration seems to come from anywhere and everywhere. Not afraid to wear daring and unexpected combinations, she’ll rock a midi skirt with sneakers one day then throw on leather trousers with heels the next. Oh, and you’ll not find someone with a more gorgeous smile or more enthusiasm for blogging than Ann – make friends with this lovely lady and you’ve a friend for life.

Follow Ann on Instagram: @krembdelakremb

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Michelle - Retro Chic Mama

6. Michelle – Michelle Tyler

Previously RetroChicMama, Michelle’s style does exactly what it (used to) say on the tin: Grown-up clothes for a stylish mum with a touch of retro thrown in. Taking just the key elements of retro style (flares, tailoring, muted colours), she puts them all together in such a way that looks city-chic and very European. She’s Australian but her experiences of living and travelling for many years in Europe have clearly rubbed off on her – her style is like a perfect melting pot of British, French and Italian with just a smidgen of laid-back Australian flair.

Follow Michelle on Instagram: @mt.sustainability

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Amanda - The Online Stylist

7. Amanda – The Online Stylist

Amanda is a queen of minimalism and chic neutrals. Having met and worked with her on a campaign that involved shopping for our favourite pieces at Marks & Spencer, I know for a fact that she favours monochrome, denim and cashmere on a big scale. The way she puts them together is never boring, however – she always chooses quality pieces that have interesting details and a lot of texture. Like her Instagram feed, and despite being British, she perfectly sums up Scandi-cool – so different to my own all-over-the-place style, but I love her and admire her all the more for it.

Follow Amanda on Instagram: @onlinestylist

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Beth - Style at a Certain Age

8. Beth – Style at a Certain Age

Beth is effortlessly stylish. She has that same air of grace and elegance that ex-models have, with the bone structure and beautiful silver hair to match. Her wardrobe reflects both the San Francisco weather and her sense of fun, all with a gorgeous dollop of preppy style thrown in. She’s the perfect example of how age doesn’t stop you being stylish or picking the on-trend pieces that work with your already-defined style.

Follow Beth on Instagram: @styleatacertainage

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Jess - Elegantly Dressed and Stylish

9. Jess – Elegantly Dressed & Stylish

Jess couldn’t have picked a more apt name for her blog – she truly is elegantly dressed with a very distinctive romantic style. Lace, gorgeous knits and tweeds feature heavily in her outfits and she’s a fan of retro styles, especially the 1920s. With her beautiful red hair, green understandably looks incredible on her, yet she also looks stunning in blush pink and every autumnal colour going.

Follow Jess on Instagram: @elegantlydressedandstylish

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Dorrie - Senior Style Bible

10. Dorrie – Senior Style Bible

If you’ve not come across Dorrie before, you will probably need to sit down when I tell you how old she is: I’m not kidding when I say she is 81. Yes, you read that right – EIGHTY ONE. I would say she is one of the most stylish octogenarians out there, but that would do her a disservice: She’s one of the most stylish bloggers out there – full stop. Age has nothing to do with Dorrie’s style – she wears what she wants, what suits her and boy, does she wear some incredibly creative outfits. One of my absolute faves who always makes me gasp when I see a new look from her. Off-the-scale inspirational.

Follow Dorrie on Instagram: @SeniorStyleBible

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Debbie - Fashion Fairy Dust

11. Debbie – Fashion Fairy Dust

Debbie’s style is probably closest to my own: Creative, but also quite eclectic. She favours pattern-mixing, tomboy-style (she rocks a boyfriend jean), a little bohemian-chic – and puts them altogether in a very inspiring way that’s also very pinnable. You can’t fail to notice her stunning gold and copper ombre hair: It’s a work of art. Again, it’s refreshing to find a blogger who breaks all the style rules and really does her own thing so wonderfully.

Follow Debbie on Instagram: @fashionfairydust

Over 40 Fashion Blogger Carmen - Cocoolook

12. Carmen – Cocoolook

Last but not least – the enigmatic Carmen. Another blogger whose age you won’t believe (not just over 40 but over 50 – how?!) – she looks like the fashion editor of a European fashion magazine (not surprising considering she’s Spanish). Her creativity and love of beautiful prints, textures and colour is very, very Euro-chic, and I’ve yet to see an outfit from her that makes me think it’s just “okay” – we’re talking implausibly stylish every. Single. Time.

    • 12 March 2016 / 5:38 pm

Oh Esraa that's great to hear that from a 20 year old!! I agree with you about Dorrie, how cool would it be to be that stylish at 81…?!!!!!!

  12. 28 February 2016 / 4:25 pm

Lovely. With age comes experience and deep-knowledge. I am in the process of getting my blog together, I am over 40 as well. Any tips please? I am totally overwhelmed and do not know where to start. I do know I have a lot to share. Thank you and I look forward to hearing from you.

    • 1 March 2016 / 4:31 pm

Thanks PM, it's great to hear you want to set up a blog! There is so much to say on the subject, but here is my best tip. Take your time to come up with a name for your blog that you absolutely love, not like. It can be changed further down the line, but it's a lot of trouble to go. A made-up word or phrase that's unique to you will be the best type to choose. And secondly, make sure it's a name that's available across all social media platforms and URLs (use http://www.namecheckr.com to check) – even if you don't want to tweet or use Facebook now you don't want someone else to be mixed up with you.

For anything that need to know specifically, it's always best to Google it and you will get a TON of posts come up on the very subject you've searched for. Finally, see my blogging tips page https://www.notdressedaslamb.com/p/blogging-tips.html for a ton of resources – a lot of questions should be answered there!

Pinterest is a great place to find blogging tips as well – use it like a search engine and you'll be directed to so many posts on whatever subject you want to know more about.

Unfortunately there isn't a quick answer to give you – but most importantly remember that most bloggers (myself included) started a blog on a whim and learnt as they went along, setting up a blog in the space of half an hour. Good luck and remember to have fun! C x

    • 2 March 2016 / 5:47 pm

Thank you for your advice. All the best to you as well.

  13. 28 February 2016 / 11:10 am

I'm already following most of these gorgeous gals on Instagram but there's a couple of new ones I hadn't known about (how?!?). Reading this list really puts me to shame though – I started my blog fully intending to at least try to become more stylish but it doesn't seem to have happened that way! It's branched out more into travel and lifestyle issues with just the odd style post. I really must try and get back to what I'd originally planned because it really does make you feel better when you look well styled, right? At least I've got you and all these lovely lasses to help inspire me! so thank you for that 😀

Thanks so much for reaching out to me, that was incredibly sweet of you as I've falling off the face of the planet, dealing with a death in the family. Ugh! You have absolutely made my week, my month, my year!!! Your message was just the positivity that I need right now. I'm so flattered, humbled & blown away by this. Thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart for seeing something in my style & choices for daily wear. I look at you & all of these other incredible, stylish, intelligent bloggers & don't feel I should be included among this mind-blowing line up of fashionistas……Wow! Anna what an absolutely lovely thing to say – thank you so much!! (LOTS of lovely things I should say!) Oh Catherine….What a rotten day I have had.
Bad news, more even worse news, stress, bucket loads of proverbial hitting the fan…blah blah blah.
You know how these things go, sometimes.
    Then, I come home.
Feet up (for 5 minutes)…Check out my favourite blogs.
Ooo, Catherine has one of her 'Bloggers you should know' posts, great!
    More inspiration for me.
I settled down with my cuppa and clicked through…
Imagine my surprise (shock) at seeing my photo in that line up!
    Me?!
To say I am thrilled would be a massive understatement.
Then to find some of my favourite bloggers featured with me.
    What an honour!!
Thank you so much for including me in this amazing line up and thank you for introducing me to a few "new" blogs too.
I am always delighted and inspired to see such amazing older women doing their own (very stylish) thing.
I must check them all out, NOW! (Feeding the hoards and tidying up can wait!)

You've made a massive impact on our community in a very short space of time – all praise goes to you for being so darn fabulous! =MUAH= xxxxx
