White Boho Blouse and Bold Palm Print Trousers

White boho top, palm print trousers | Not Dressed As Lamb
I’m not a huge fan of a full-on boho look (on me), but I’m rather partial to the odd piece mixed with other styles. This white Marks & Spencer boho blouse is perfect for adding a touch of SS15 boho/70s styling to an outfit without going too far down the rabbit hole of up-to-date trends.

I rarely go for a particular trend head-to-toe, so I paired the blouse with a bold palm print trouser from last summer – this print is a great contrast to the white lacy detailing of the top. I also dug out my blue mirrored aviators (that I haven’t worn in ages – the blue is perfect for this look) and wore my comfy taupe mules from Asos for a morning of errands and an early showing of Ant-Man at the cinema (highly recommend by the way).

Are you feeling the boho look this summer? Or are you like me and take small elements and mix it up with your other pieces? Do let me know in the comments!

Those pants are fabulous, and shooting the outfit in front of that wall was genius. It really makes the colors pop, and those accessories tie it all together beautifully. I'll have to save a look like this for later in the summer, when it starts to cool down some. It's so hot right now that I can't bear to have my limbs covered. It's sundresses and shorts on repeat for me until late August. Sigh.

Thank you Lauren! The patterned pants definitely de-boho it (if that's a thing?)!!

I love the boho look on others but on me not so much. I prefer smaller does of it on me. I love it with those stunning pants, it really makes your pants pop.

I'm another one who finds boho difficult to wear. I end up looking like a bedraggled dwarf! So I leave it to others who can boho with ease! You've got a great balance here. The detailing on the blouse is to die for especially on the sleeves where you can see the colour of your skin underneath. The palm print is fresh and vibrant. Very stylish yet still feels easy and comfort to wear.

Aww Jacqueline I'm sure you don't [look like that]!! But yes, pairing one boho item with something that's completely un-boho works for me. Thank you sweetie x

This look is so perfect for hot summer days — I have a thing for mirrored aviators, especially in July. Maybe because they reflect the beautiful, sunny happiness of the summer world around me? But whatever the reason, I basically live in mine!

I feel the same way about Boho, Catherine. You have rocked this though by smartening the whole look with great pair of shoes and bag.
Beautiful shoot too…where ever did you find that gorgeous coral wall? Which just so happens to make your skin glow so beautifully (no accident there 😉
My son agrees with you Re. Ant man. He was there with 10 of his friends last night (10 sixteen year old boys…yikes!) and enjoyed himself.
    Another fab post!

Thanks so much, Samantha! The wall was actually the one in the (Vue) cinema. We'd walked through the area so many times before but it suddenly occurred to us to do a shoot there – luckily we had the camera on us! Never ones to miss an #ootd opportunity, haha ;))
