Preppy style with readers ("The Catherine" by readers.com)

It’s pretty exciting as a blogger to have something named after you, and I’m so pleased to finally be able to show you “The Catherine” reading glasses (you may have seen a sneak preview of them on Instagram).

Five bloggers and I have collaborated with Readers.com to curate the “Influencer Collection” – you might just see a few faces that you know well! We each had a new pair named after us and chose other glasses that we felt were also our style… you can see my choices in the photos below (I especially love the wood-effect ones).

The Catherine comes in four colourways: Green Tortoise/Mint, Purple Tortoise/Yellow (as worn by me here above and below, respectively); also Brown Tortoise/Red and Brown Tortoise/Yellow. I think this is the perfect shape for my face: the low bridge makes my nose a little shorter (read why I like that here) and the slight cat-eye shape shows off my eyebrows. The glasses at Readers.com are so reasonably priced you could treat yourself to several pairs in different colours and styles.

I have written this post in collaboration with Readers.com. All content is original, however, and opinions are my own and 100% honest.

For the photo shoot I went all-out with a preppy bookworm theme – wearing a sweater with the clever collar from CeCe Toppings over the scuba dress cleverly turned it into a skirt. This was a gorgeous outfit with clean lines and crisp, neutral colours. What better way to show off some funky two-tone glasses?

I now have a fabulous collection of reading glasses that I can match to my outfits – do you wear glasses and do you have different pairs to match them to what you’re wearing that day? Do share in the comments!

Oh I didn't actually design them, Coco (though I'd love to take the credit)! I chose them from Readers.com's new collection before they launched as the ones to be named after me. But thank you hun! x

Congrats Catherine! You must be really proud. Saw Annette's and just wanted to pop by and congratulate. I got some reading glasses last week when in New York and they got an orange accent which is real fun.You look really lovely wearing those specs. xo Sabina OceanblueStyle

Wow, what a stunning pair of glasses, and very you. I'm a full time glasses wearer so don't think these would be suitable for me, but if they were I'd definitely get the mint pair. And the purple/yellow.

Hehe sounds like you had to stop yourself with listing all the glasses you'd get, Nicola…!!! Thank you hun x

This is such an honor, to have glasses named after you! I can't even… it's so awesome ^_^ I love them and I love the outfit, looks preppy and chic! You're a doll!

Aww thanks Keit – and yes it was great to be asked… the addition of the word "The" somehow makes it for me ("The Catherine" sounds better than "Catherine" for some reason, lol)!

Very "sexy librarian," dearest Catherine (am I allowed to say that?!) So fun that you had a style of eyeglass frames named after you…the tortoise-plus-colour combinations make them perfect personality pieces!! P.S. I'm swooning over those shoes!! XOXO
