Bright Winter Colours With Geometric & Leopard Prints

Multicoloured shawl, coral sweater & blue leopard print skinnies

I love finding a favourite accessory that I’d almost forgotten about – and this multicoloured scarf-come-wrap was one of those items.

It’s so large I can’t store it with all my other scarves so I tend to forget I have it. This outfit started with the scarf as my starting point, and the bright cashmere sweater and the blue leopard skinnies were the nearest things that were clean and coordinated to create a cosy but bright look. (Yes I will admit: some outfits happen only because the individual items were what I had to hand that were clean at the time…!)

I bought these black leather ankle boots from New Look following a several-month-long search for the perfect pair for everyday wear. Most of the ones I’d found either had a very skinny heel (not practical for walking) or were too low (not what I was after) – these are the perfect combination of solid heel, reasonably high, with some interesting detail. Added bonus: they are incredibly comfy.

What about you – do you ever create an outfit simply because it’s all you had clean at the time…? I hope it’s not just me 😉

I just LOVE that you're not afraid of colour, Catherine!! I won't say that I am…I just don't wear it much (but maybe it's the same thing?!) This look is amazing; so exuberant and fun!! If this is what you come up with from pieces that happen to be clean, then I am in awe!! 😉 Your hair is super-cute styled this way, too…shows off your heart-shaped face!!

You do it well by mixing print on print. That pair of boots are just perfect. What I like most in this post is the way you braided your hair. Gorgeous!!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays =)
