Neutral Colour Blocking & Chevrons

Neutrals colour blocking
Colour blocking perfection in a shirt, that’s what this is: thank you Topshop…! I seem to have a thing for sheer blouses and shirts as my collection has grown to probably seven or eight of them. I was originally going to wear a nude top underneath this, but decided to go with black in the end… so yes I’m showing off my underwear a bit (not the usual me), but I still think it looks pretty!

I wore this to my sister’s 50th birthday party (Happy Birthday for the other week, V!) and the hairstyle was achieved with a small hair donut – I find it’s the only way to get a nice neat bun without my hair falling out all over the place.

Oh and I still need your votes pleeeeeease – I’m up for a major regional UK blogger award! I sooo love your skirt…the rich pattern is wonderful. And I'm liking sheer tops lately too. Beautiful. Lynaea @ EveryDayBloom.com

I love a chevron print and it looks awesome on you! It makes me want to get busy sewing because that style is so flattering. It would be easy to make, don't you think?

Probably one of my favorite outfits, ever. Really, seriously INTERESTING to look at, and while lots of things are beautiful, they don't always rise to this level of smart.
    Sigh.

I Love the skirt. It doesnt hurt too that it has a lot of colors. You can pair it up with different tops to achieve different looks.
And yes, the stacked arm candies are beautiful!

Oh I am dying over those chevrons, amazing, you look wonderful as always! I came by to gush over that bright blue shopper you shared with us for the "How I Wear My: Everyday Bag" post. I love that shade of blue and you look so good carrying it. I don't think you ever take a bad picture my dear! XO, Jill

What a perfect graphic outfit. Love it. The first thing I thought was "what a nice shirt she is wearing underneath that blouse". So don't fear, it is not tacky at all. Really lovely outfit. And of course I vote for you.

  20. 3 April 2013 / 2:36 pm

This is gorgeous! You look so slim. That hair donut thing looks interesting…
