Walkin’ In The Mud With My Check Coat On

Check coat and wellies
Wellies in mud
Black fluffy bobble hat
Stuck in the mud
Yep, it’s the Wedge Wellies again. This time they got a proper road test – the muddy fields by my parents’ house. Well, when you see deep mud and you’re wearing wellies, who in their right mind can resist walking right through it…?

I’ve had this coat for years, and it’s one of my favourites (I’ve worn it here, here and here on the blog). It suits black so well – I know, I know, it’s unusual for me to want to wear black – I’ll admit, I’m a hypocrite! And I LOVE my new fluffy bobble hat from ASOS that I bought after I Pinned this adorable picture. I added a little initial “C” pin to the hat just to add a little jewellery… it’s so hard to wear any bling in the winter without it being covered up. Rings and arm candy are covered up with gloves, necklaces by scarves, and earrings by hair and hats. So let’s all stick stuff to the outside of everything! Necklaces and brooches on top of coats is a good place to start.

So, only nine sleeps till Christmas! Is everyone excited???

Love that hat, with the fur pompom. Unfortunately for me my hair isn't really hat-friendly 🙁 but I do always appreciate a good hat-wearer 🙂

Glad I've found your blog, I am loving your style. If you have a chance, please pop by to see my blog too http://thislittlepretty.blogspot.com

Whoa! That's a lot of mud. You certainly had the right boots for it–and stylish too. The coat is great, but then again, I love plaid.

Oh, my goodness! When you say "mud" you are not kidding around!!! Well, you look like you are having a lovely time, and enjoying the muck 😉 I love the pattern of this coat. I'm so glad these classic pieces are such a strong trend this season. The '60s swing feel to the cut gives it a very modern-retro feel. Such a cute look and glad you're having fun! I needed a smile put on my face today!!! ~Sarah

I love that coat! I've recently developed a new crush on all things tartan/checked and that coat is right up my street. However, I fear I'm too short for the cut. It's perfect on you though.

    You have croco-like wellies…. Nice.
I like your coat as well, but is it not cold at your arms?
And it is the same with me, wearing lots of black all of the time. Quite ashamed of it. I was thinking how you would tell me off for that, so I am quite pleased with you wearing all this black.LOL

So cute! Those Wellies are getting a serious workout.
