Announcing the New #iwillwearwhatilike Weekly Link Up

Not Dressed As Lamb - new weekly link up
I couldn't have August end and just let #iwillwearwhatilike fizzle out, could I...?!

So many lovely ladies have enjoyed my Instagram campaign so much (not least myself) that I had to think of a way to continue the positive vibes and wonderful new relationships #iwillwearwhatilike has created. A daily theme was a lot of work, admittedly - so how about a weekly link up?

I've been toying with the idea of hosting a link up party for quite a while, and launching one now seems the perfect time to keep the momentum and the buzz of #iwillwearwhatilike going. (If you have no clue as to what I'm talking about, have a read of the original announcement of the campaign here.) A link up party is the obvious solution: You don't have to be a blogger to take part as you can link up Instagram posts or blog posts.

So - starting next Monday, 7th September, I'll be the host of the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! Although it's generally for the over 30s (and that means over 40s, 50s, etc. as well) to link up outfits that show how they - you've guessed it - wear what they like, there'll be no actual age restriction. I may also throw in a theme, but again it won't be mandatory. I'll simply feature my favourite outfit linked up from someone that did follow the theme (does that make sense?) the following week.

All you need to do is come back next Monday at 3pm British Summer Time (GMT+1) when the link up will go live on my new blog post. And if you'd like a theme, how about...

COLOUR! Show me your most colourful outfits or accessories :)

Let me know if you'll be linking up in the comments - don't forget you don't need a blog to link up, you can link up Instagram posts too. (Don't forget to use the hashtag #iwillwearwhatilike on Mondays on Instagram.)

And help a girl out: Do please make suggestions for the following week's theme in the comments too! Thanks so much x

Late Summer Banner Ad Sale - 50% Off

Not Dressed As Lamb Banner Ad Sale
I'm holding a late summer sale on my Banner Ads: 50% off all banner ads bought between now and 30th September! With Not Dressed As Lamb drawing in over 100k page views and over 30k unique visitors per month, you need to take advantage of this offer and advertise your brand or small business on my blog right now.

Featured Ad - 50% off
Although only one is shown at a time, you can buy a Featured Ad - the 300x600 large one at the top of the sponsors section - any time between now and the end of September and it will be half price at only $75. The Passionfruit checkout tells you when yours will start as they will be shown in the order they were bought. There is space for a Featured Ad to start in just over a week (at the time of writing) so don't delay!

(If you're a blogger with limited budget please see my Blog Ad rates or scroll further down this post).

Medium Ads - 50% off
I have spaces for several Medium Ads - six are shown at a time but if all spaces are filled the same principle applies: Buy yours before 30th September at $50 and yours will be shown as soon as a space is available. You can also still get discount for buying two months - only $80 - so if that's of interest use discount code SUMMERSALE10. Read all the details here on my banner ad page.

Banner ad sale - Not Dressed As Lamb

Special Rate for Bloggers
I allow for bloggers' budgets as the majority of you are hobby bloggers, so I have a (always low) special rate just for banner ads that direct to a blog. Six spaces at $20 are available (size 300x150) at any one time, and again, you can have a discount if you buy two months (see the Passionfruit checkout for details). All ads are sent to me to be approved before they go live, and don't forget a Blog Ad must direct to a blog otherwise it won't be accepted: I reserve these spots just for bloggers, not brands.

Blog Ads are in effect "on sale" all year round, hence them them not being discounted this time.

All the details you need to make your purchase should be on my Banner Ad page, but if not, feel free to email me notdressedaslamb@gmail.com if you have any questions. I can't wait to see what you submit!

Women Over 30 Breaking the Style Rules | #iwillwearwhatilike Days 1-15

Women over 30 breaking the (style) rules #iwillwearwhatilike
As we're drawing to the end of August that means the end of #iwillwearwhatilike - and I thought it a good opportunity to showcase some of the amazing style that I've seen on Instagram so far for this campaign. All of these women over 30 (many are over 40 or 50) have really embraced breaking the style "rules" that were the theme of #iwillwearwhatilike. There have been some truly fabulous outfits and incredible pieces that definitely do NOT deserved to be relegated to the scrap heap just because some journalist says we should stop wearing them when we reach 30 years of age!

I've included some of the best posts from days 1-15 and will show the second half next week once August is over. I want to thank all these lovely ladies from the bottom of my heart for joining in with this campaign. They're showing everyone that it's not okay to dictate to women what they should and shouldn't wear, not matter what their age. Fashion should be fun, and why on earth would we deprive ourselves of fun just because we're getting older?!

I've tried to include as many different Instagrammers as possible - I had so much choice for some days (I'm talking about you, leopard print) that I felt bad leaving out so many great looks. But believe me, there are so many more chic ladies out there on the #iwillwearwhatilike hashtag.

Do please check out these great accounts and show them some love. I'd also love to know what you think of the campaign in the comments and whether any of these lovely ladies have inspired you...!

Dressing For the Heat | A Cream Embroidered Sun Dress and Bright Accessories

Cream embroidered summer dress, orange sandals
Saturday may well have been the hottest day of the year so far and a cotton sun dress was exactly what was required for the heat. We went to London to see friends - the South East is nearly always so much hotter than the South West where we live - and I was thankful that I had this very pretty embroidered dress that I thrifted a couple of years ago to wear (you can see how I styled it on the blog last here).

My last three outfit posts have all featured this orange bag, so I think it's safe to say that that's the best £7.50 I've ever spent on an accessory. I also can't get enough of these orange Marks & Spencer sandals which I simply adore - is there a better shoe out there??

With a messy ponytail and a bright lip I was good to go for the [insert groan here] FIVE-HOUR car journey that should have taken less than three. Oh, the joys of travelling on the roads on a hot weekend: One hot day and everyone decides to spend it on the roads that turn into car parks. Us included.

When I first got this dress I intended it to dye it a pastel blue blue or lilac (but realised I liked the cream in the end). What do you think - should I still try that for next year maybe? Do let me know what you think in the comments!

How to Dress Up a White Boyfriend Tee | With Bright Colours and Prints

White boyfriend tee, tropical print trousers, cobalt heels, peach bag
I didn't actually realise at the time quite how I much I liked this easy-wear outfit of a white boyfriend tee and tropical print trousers. I got the them in the sale at Dorothy Perkins along with the peach bag which first appeared in my last outfit post (and it won't be the last time, either). These fabulous trousers "forced" me to rediscover my cobalt heels which got quite a few compliments on the day. Result.

Like a great pair of jeans, a white boyfriend-fit tee can be one of the most hard working pieces in your wardrobe. Worn untucked like I've done here, part-tucked into jeans, under dungarees, tucked into a full midi skirt... The possibilities are endless. Hooray for such a versatile piece.

What are the most hard-working pieces in your wardrobe? Are (like me) forever searching for the perfect white t-shirt/white shirt/jeans, etc.? Tell me in the comments!
