How to Get a Bag Named After You | “The Catherine” by Yosa

"The Catherine" cross body bag by Yosa
Move over Alexa, Jane [Birkin] and Grace [Kelly] – there’s a new bag in town, and it’s called The Catherine…! Just a quick post today with a sneak peek of my fabulous new bag that was named after me by the lovely Rachel [the Hat] who owns jewellery and accessories brand Yosa.

It’s no secret that Rachel and I are blogging BFFs, so when she asked if she could name a bag after me I thought it was such an honour – and of course I said yes (thank you Rachel)! We both agreed that this chic cross body bag in a tan suede and leather mix had to be “The Catherine” as it’s a perfect match for my hair.

As I’m rather into the 70s trend this season you’ll see the outfit in full In my next post – the warm tan of the bag works so well with 70s-inspired colours of browns and oranges. It’s one of those bags that looks even nicer in real life, and it comes in grey as well. Yosa sell some amazing pieces (if you know Rachel’s style you’ll know what great taste she has) – it’s worth a visit especially with Christmas coming up. The prices are really reasonable and she offers international shipping too which is a bonus.

So if you’re looking to get a bag named after you, I’d recommend becoming BFFs with an accessories/bag designer (and drop a few hints if nothing happens after a couple of years). Or simply sit next to a Hermès chief executive on a Paris to London flight like Jane Birkin did – that would work just as well 😉

If you were to have a bag named after you what would you call it – your first name, your surname, your nickname? Or something else, like your blog name? Tell me in the comments or tweet me @notlamb!

A very cute bag. And a great honour. I would choose my birthname for a bag named after me (yeah right, as if that would ever happen..): Greta.
