My Greatest Photographic Moments of 2015

Nautical style: Navy blue and white floppy hat, cat eye sunglasses

Most fashion bloggers have a round up of their best outfits of the year around this time, but as always I like to do something a little different.

Currently I publish an annual bloopers and outtakes on 1st January (look out for it on Friday) and a seasonal round up of my best outfits every quarter. Instead of the year’s best outfits I thought it was time that I acknowledged and thanked my ever-patient husband/photographer (AKA my Instagram Husband) by showcasing his wonderful photography in a round up of his best photographic moments of 2015.

So I think this will be an annual thing, and I hope it gives you a little inspiration in the photography department for a change, not just the sartorial one. I’m always on the lookout for new and different ways to style and shoot outfit posts – I have a Pinterest board dedicated to blog photography ideas which I can recommend as a way to gather inspiration and up your photography game.

The #iwillwearwhatilike link up is still on today – no break for Christmas – but there’s no theme so link up anything and everything you’ve been wearing (scroll down for the details). Meantime, I hope you enjoy the blog’s best photos of the year, and to Mr. Summers: Thank you with all my heart, I don’t know what I’d do without you. You’re the best :))

Which of the photos are your favourites? Tell me in the comments or tweet me @notlamb!

#iwillwearwhatilike | Not Dressed As Lamb
Thank you for joining the #iwillwearwhatilike link up! This started as a campaign on Instagram in August 2015 where women over 30 wore everything on a journalist’s list of “inappropriate” items for 30+ women (including leopard print, short dresses and oversized sunglasses. Yes, really). It was so popular that I decided to carry it on weekly where women of all ages link up their fabulous style, never mind what anyone tells them not to wear!

So link up all your fabulous outfits (or shoes, accessories, make-up, etc.) every Monday at 3pm UK time – it’ll stay open for a week. Whilst the original article was of course aimed at the 30+, you can be ANY age to link up. The only criteria is that you’re wearing whatever you damn well like!

NEXT WEEK:
THE OPTIONAL THEME FOR 4 JANUARY IS BLING
(a chance to show off your Christmas and New Year’s outfits!)

All I ask of you linking up is that you:

1. Please follow your host Not Dressed As Lamb (via Bloglovin or Instagram)
2. Link up your outfits (blog or Instagram posts) that show how you choose to wear what you like – as many as you like!
3. Please remember this is only for posts of what you’ve been wearing, not links to giveaways or anything else
4. Include a link back to this post if you’re linking from a blog post, or add my button (below)
5. Post your outfit on Instagram (if you use it) with the hashtag #iwillwearwhatilike – Monday’s the day to join in the IG fun
6. Visit some of the other links and share the love!

Thanks so much Shellie, I thought a dedicated post to his photography was long overdue…!

And I'm better thank you, still hobbling and the pain comes and goes, but when I rest completely I'm mostly pain-free. It's going to take a while before I'm 100% but I'm getting there! You're very kind to ask, thank you :))

  15. 28 December 2015 / 10:49 pm

beautiful photography. I love them all so it's hard to pick a fav, but if I had to, I'd say the one of you in the bikini that shows only your back. I just think it's very creative.

    • 29 December 2015 / 12:06 am

Thank you so much Amy – you can probably tell I love that one too because it's the only one I showed full size…!!

  16. 28 December 2015 / 8:32 pm

  17. 28 December 2015 / 5:07 pm

Happy Holiday my friend. Sorry you are not well. I know it can be very frustrating to not be active. I wanted to stop by and I love the photos. My hubby takes my pics to and it is always great to look at one's advancement in photography. Love the lighting, great shots!

Thanks so much Jess, you're right that it's good to look at how your blog photos improve over time!

And thank you also for sending love my way, I'm sure you know better than anyone how much we should appreciate being in good health when we have it. I know that I won't take being able to be active for granted once my back is better – I'm vowing to take MUCH better care of myself once this sciatica has cleared up…! xx

Aww Sacramento you're the sweetest – thank you so much!! It would be wonderful to meet you too, maybe 2016 will be our year :))

  21. 28 December 2015 / 3:39 pm

Having a hubby who's willing to take outfit photos week after week is – without a doubt! – one of the biggest blessings a personal style blogger could hope for, dearest Catherine!! Mr. Summers does an absolutely AMAZING job for you (those Santorini pics are worthy of an editorial spread in a magazine!) and he definitely deserves major kudos for his work!! P.S. I was thinking about you and your poor back A LOT over Christmas…and have my fingers crossed that you've started to feel just a wee bit better!! XOXO

I'm very lucky Monika as you say – thankfully he really enjoys photography and is always keen to try new things and improve. Thank you for the lovely compliments, I'll make sure he reads what you wrote!

As for the back: I'm still in pain on and off and can hardly walk – I think it's getting better though, just very, very slowly. To say I'm frustrated is an understatement, I just want it all to go away, I hate being so useless!! Thank you for the love xxx
