Some of My Favourite Fun and Fabulous Links – November 2015

Not Dressed As Lamb's Favourite Fun & Fabulous Links November 2015
I’ve moved the date of my monthly Favourite Fun and Fabulous Links post to the fourth Wednesday of the month, so welcome to its new spot! There are some (refreshingly different) things to do when you’re having a bad day, an ethereal wedding dress and guinea pigs, er, talking about all things pumpkin.

Enjoy – and Happy Humpday!

Laurie wrote a beautifully touching open letter – Starting Somewhere – about why she started a blog.

Bloggers using Googled or Pinterest images beware: A cautionary tale of a blogger who was sued for unauthorised use of an image.

Kristen’s stunning black, white and yellow outfit has more than a touch of the 80s about it – and that’s a very good thing.

“If you fall, get up. Learn from your mistakes. We all fail, but that does not mean we are failures, or that we will never succeed.” Michelle’s excellent advice for learning to give up junk food and eat a healthier diet.

I’m not sure what I love most about Samantha’s autumnal outfit: The tartan skirt, the boots or the overall retro styling.

With party season coming up I desperately want this sparkly round box clutch.

7 things Amber does when she’s having a bad day: No bubble baths or yoga, these things are much more fun and inventive than that.

Janise’s shearling jacket is incredibly stylish but even more so because she’s paired it with flared jeans.

Fashion expert Caryn Franklin has written about The Beauty of Age: “When I called myself old recently in the Sunday Times, there was mayhem. I reassured Twitter followers that OLD was GOLD and GREY is GREAT.”

Blair Eadie’s photography has always been great but this shoot goes to prove that four simple, creative and varied outfit photos are far more effective than 10 full length shots with minimal changes in pose. Note to self: Up your photography game.

Jaclyn got married at the weekend and shared pictures of “the wedding dresses that never were”. See the final (and beautifully ethereal) choice on her Instagram feed here.

Finally – two great videos:

Try not to lose it watching two guinea pigs talking about how everything is pumpkin-spiced at this time of year.

And if this doesn’t make your day, I don’t know what will: Cutest call ever to 911 by a small girl. Some girls are aware of looking good for the emergency crews at a very young age 😉

All these look really good reads!!! I'll definitely take a look at these once I've read through the 20 tabs I've got open at the moment! Oh my, the girl in the mustard sweater and shoes is amazing!!!! Such a good outfit!!!
Of course, I'll vote for you in the blogger lounge. Could I possibly ask a favour in return at all please, please?? I've entered Lady Vintage's competition to style one of their dresses and send in a photo and if you liked my picture best out of the entries, I'd love it if you felt able to vote for me by liking my picture! Cheeky, I know, but I really want to win- never won anything like that before and I'd the support of my lovely blog friends. I'm the first one wearing the pink floral dress in front of a large hall if you felt able to 'like' it for me on Facebook?  Here's the link:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.864013323713000.1073741877.144939495620390&type=1&l=8c4891a181

I'd be incredibly grateful if so!

Thanks so much Catherine, it was such a huge surprise when I spotted my photo here this morning. And I love all your links, you always have such great picks. Regarding Pinterest photos: I've just recently unfollowed someone on Instagram because she mostly 'steals' all the photos from Pinterest pretending they are hers (although the law is very in Germany) plus she's always buying followers and likes. It can get frustrating at times when you see how much effort oneself puts into everything and that others think a shortcut leads to success (my husband's words). Much love your way, Kirsten xxo
    (P.S. Voted for you)
