Not Dressed As Lamb Plays the Bongos | Nivea Reasons to Smile Campaign

Reasons to Smile Nivea campaign | Not Dressed As Lamb plays the bongos
banner
Last week Nivea launched their Reasons to Smile campaign: They’ve launched a film based on research which found out that the act of smiling takes an average of two years off a person’s age. Now that’s more than enough reason to keep smiling, never mind the crow’s feet…!

On Friday I shared my secrets to staying and looking young – and today I have the film I made as my part of the campaign to share with you. The brief was to showcase something in my life that makes me smile, and I chose my love for playing the bongos… yes, that is a lesser-known fact about me: I’m teaching myself to play the bongos. It’s taking an awfully long time and I’m very much a beginner but it’s something I’ve always always wanted to do. A small group of bloggers from Britain and Europe were asked the same question (including my gorgeous bloggy friend Vicki of Honest Mum) and parts of our films were included in Nivea’s campaign.

Read on for details of Nivea’s competition they’ve launched alongside the campaign, meantime here’s my short film that hopefully captures how much I love playing the bongos – I hope you like it!

The question is… what makes you smile? Do share in the comments and don’t forget to check out the Nivea campaign video and enter the competition πŸ˜€

Submit what makes you smile on NIVEA’s Facebook page with the hashtag #MakesMeSmile for the chance to win a Q10 product hamper:

Nivea Reasons to Smile campaign #MakeMeSmile (closes 12th June)

Good luck!

I think it is a very entertaining video and I am not a fan of videos in blogs. So this is big praize from me. I thought you were endearing at the end with your smiling "I'll get better". The balck and white top you were wearing and the scarf in your hair were very cute. I cannot remember seeing them before.

Wow that's high praise indeed, Greetje – thank you! I won't normally be sharing all my videos in blog posts, but I'm just setting up my YouTube channel so I'll only be mentioning them with a link, not embedding them in future πŸ™‚

Oh and the top and scarf have been worn before! Black and white top in April: http://bit.ly/ndal20aPr15 and the scarf a while back in October 2013: http://bit.ly/ndAl23oCt13 – I'm just good at restyling them, haha ;))))

Seriously…how freakin' CUTE are you in this video, dearest Catherine?! πŸ˜€ Love that you're teaching yourself to play bongos; I'm not particularly musically-inclined myself, so I have nothing but admiration for anyone with a talent for playing an instrument!! As for what makes ME smile?? Honestly, I haven't been in much of a smiling mood lately (I'm recovering from dental surgery – yuck!)…but my ferrets still manage to get a giggle out of me, even if it hurts!! XOXO

I'm not at all talented musically, Monika – hence it being really difficult!! I too admire people who can pick up any instrument and play it ;))

So sorry to hear you're feeling low, that sounds painful!! I might tweet you a little something to cheer you up :))

Thanks for your lovely comment, lovely M xx

NEVER in a million years, would I imagine I'd see a video of you playing the bongos πŸ˜€ But you are so adorable and this post really made me smile and warmed my heart. Because life is about those litle things, that bring us joy, no matter how they may seem to other people.
What makes me smile currently is The Witcher 3 video game, I've been waiting for 2 years for it to finally be released πŸ˜€

Haha I'm so glad you liked it, Keit – full of surprise, ain't I??! Like when I read you were learning Japanese I was amazed and very, very impressed…!!!!! But I'm afraid I'm not a gamer at all so have no idea what any of them are like, so you've lost me there! ;))

I spent a lot of time driving in the car today, up to Aberdeen and back, and hearing old songs on the radio that I hadn't heard in a long time made me smile. Lorraine x
