Some of My Favourite Fun and Fabulous Links – February 2015

Favourite fun and fabulous links February 2015
So as this is my third monthly Favorited Fun and Fabulous Links post, I think I’m now safe in saying that this may well be a regular spot on the blog. I’ve decided to try and stick to the fourth Sunday of each month… we’ll see how that goes! Meanwhile, enjoy your Sunday with a romp through this fabulous lot 🙂

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Megan’s inspired me to layer my faux fur gilet (vest) over a floral maxi. Just need to get a patterned maxi now – I lurrrrrve this 70s inspired dress. And this one.

Patti’s playful poncho/sweatshirt hybrid is one of the coolest pieces I’ve seen in ages.

Nothing to Wear t-shirt - Kremb de la Kremb
Just about the best Dress Down Friday work outfit I’ve ever seen thanks to Ann’s “Nothing to Wear” t-shirt.

I can’t get enough of Design Seeds’ colour palette ideas (the photos are so beautiful in themselves).

Alyson ponders why should we keep our age a secret. Something you won’t find me doing, ever: I’m 42 and a half, you know (she says in an 82 year old’s voice).

Dee Goldberg instagram.com/deeegoldie
Dee Goldberg’s Instagram feed is just about the most fun and inspiring feed I’ve seen in a long time. WHAT a woman.

Sport’s for us older ‘girls’ too, you know. Adele says “I know a lot of women my age who don’t exercise and can’t seem to find a way in. Showing older women as fitness role models might inspire them, as well as show younger women that fitness is achievable for life“. Hear, hear.

I’m all sorts of dying over Viktoriya’s mustard with greens outfit… The patterns! The textures! The colours!

Frassy - "Mod"
Audrey’s photo shoots are everything I’d love mine to be. Utterly inspirational. Plus her attitude towards blog sponsorship and monetizing her blog sums up my own attitude towards it perfectly.

5 common misconceptions about bloggers – I’m all of these but especially number 5.

Some excellent, practical tips on how to make SEO work for you.

I love me a great 1970s look (so on-trend for 2015) and Amy’s “Rolling Stones groupie” outfit is spot-on.

Lauren McBride blog
Award for best new-to-me blog I’ve found goes to Lauren of Lauren McBride. Her style is classic, modern and funky at the same time – check her (and her beauuuuutiful eyes) out.

Finally…

Yes, Helen Mirren looks amazing. Yes, I’m glad older women are being used to sell beauty products. Yes, she can totally rock a leather jacket.

BUT…

Since WHEN would Helen Mirren catch the bus??!!!!

I always look forward to your "round-up" posts, dearest Catherine…you never fail to find us fabulous bloggers to follow and interesting tidbits to discover!! The Elle & Company article about "SEO Made Simple" has been bookmarked on my laptop; now I just need to find a little extra spare time to actually implement everything!! P.S. I'll sheepishly admit that I might be one of "those" who NEVER leaves the house without hair and makeup perfectly in place!! 😉

SEO is such a lot to get your head round, lovely Monika… but if you implement it little by little you soon get there – I'm so glad you liked the post, it's really well written! And thank you, I'm pleased these round ups are proving to be popular…!! x

I had to smile at your comment "I'm 42 and a half" as I'm coming up to to 67 and a half and don't feel any older than when I was your age! I've always kept active and belong to a local "Centro de Día de Mayores". (I prefer saying it in Spanish to the English equivalent of "Day Centre for the Elderly"!) where we go on 9km plus hikes twice a month, plus a weekly Tai Chi class. I also enjoy doing Zumba DVDs at home. I definitely think it's all to do with your attitude and not thinking of yourself as "old" or "elderly". I also think that reading blogs such as yours – even though I accept that some of your outfits wouldn't look right on me, but many of them would – helps to keep me young at heart. Hope it's ok to give a link to my blog: http://over60andoverhere.blogspot.com.es/

Wow, you're an inspiration, Sue – you're amazing for 67 (and a half)!! Thanks for your lovely comments, and of course it's okay to give a link to your blog – Blogger doesn't make your name link to your blog unfortunately (boo to that) xx

Catherine! I am so excited to be included in your favourite, fun, and fabulous links! What a treat!! And thanks for these links. I learned a ton about SEO from Elle, have fallen in love with Frassy, and just turned 43 this past Saturday! (I'm not afraid to tell you my age!!)

What great company to be in, and to make your site! Wow!!

    Love,

Ann of Kremb de la Kremb

Ann it's my pleasure to include you!! You know how much I loved this outfit…! And I didn't realise we're both 1972 girls – you beat me to 43 by a few months ;))
