Camel Coat Styling Challenge | Please Vote for My ‘Perfect Winter Look’

The perfect winter look - camel cot

I haven’t entered a style challenge since last year, but when Lookagain challenged me to create a “perfect winter look” with this wonderful Buffalo camel coat I couldn’t resist. This is a luxurious, gorgeously designed winter wardrobe staple and =oh= to own an eternally-classic camel coat… It doesn’t get any better than that!

I simply need as many “Likes” as possible on my photo entry on the Lookagain Facebook page:

http://bit.ly/ndal-lastyleoff

As I seem to be into my winter whites and neutral tones at the moment I went super smart with white trousers, nude heels and an old (but not worn on the blog before) animal print beret – if you like how I styled it may I kindly ask you lovely readers to help me win the style challenge with a “like“? The winning blogger will receive £100 to spend at Lookagain: if I win I’ll use it for a Christmas giveaway as a thank you as I’ve done before with prize money. Not only that but if you like my entry you’ll be automatically entered into a prizedraw to win the coat (worth £105) yourself.

The coat is super warm, has fabulous huge collars and a chunky tie-belt that I decided to tie at the back to streamline the look. Styling it also created the perfect opportunity to get my faux fur handbag out for about the fourth winter in a row… this bag’s a keeper. I was going for a New York-inspired winter look – I think it ended up more Parisian (thanks to the beret) but that’s no bad thing at all.

So if you’d be kind enough to “like” my entry I’d be so grateful. We’ll know in a week who’s won – I’ll keep you posted. And thank you!!!!

Pulling the ties to the back was a stroke of genius! I kinda makes me think of how a Geisha shows of her waist.

Your manicure is fantastic!!! I need to go dig around in my nail polishes to see if I have all those colors…

You're right, it is very Geisha, JJ – sometimes described as an obi belt! It definitely made it tidier. Glad you like the mani too 🙂

Not being (too) picky, but wouldn't your feet get cold? You can tell I live on Dartmoor. Love the coat though!

    • 12 November 2014 / 7:55 pm

Hehe I don't think I'd wear this coat to go walking over Dartmoor, and I certainly wouldn't wear those heels (or white trousers), Fiona…!! ;))

Seriously though, the outfit is one that I'd wear to an event or something where I need to be dressed up for something indoors (hence the heels), but the coat would be needed for the journey there. It's not far off my wedding outfit (I got married in London in January so it was cold) – I wore a thick faux fur coat over a pretty top with cream wide leg trousers and heels. So it's a dressed up outfit, and yes your feet would be cold but only for a bit 🙂

Aww Jeanne you're lovely – thank you!!

It's definitely THE colour for autumn – in a coat it's perfection I think! Thanks Laura x

Aww thanks so much! The coat is fabulous, isn't it…? x
