How to Style Floral Trousers | With a Motif Sweater & Bright Peter Pan Collar

Pink heart sweater with blue Peter Pan collar, floral trousers
The floral trousers are going strong for the summer - it's good to make the most of them while I still can. This time I've styled them in an outfit entirely made up of things that have appeared on the blog before, so it's a great example of how to remix your wardrobe. In fact the blue heels have been worn in loads of posts; I lost count when I looked at my Outfits page to see how many times they'd appeared. They complement the blue of my Peter Pan collar blouse beautifully, which in turn looks so good with my baby pink La Redoute sweater - I love these two together!

How good are you at remixing your wardrobe - do you find yourself making the same combinations or do you find it easy to get creative? And like my blue heeled lace-ups, do you have a go-to pair of shoes that seem to work with everything... Do share in the comments!

P.S. You can see how I styled the same Peter Pan collar blouse here, the pink sweater here, the floral trousers here and here... the blue heeled lace ups have been worn a lot but this one's my favourite!

  3. This outfit has such nice balance. Each element matches perfectly, but the mixed prints keep it from being too "matchy-matchy".

  7. When I try to be creative, I suck. When I don't even try, I manage to pull off some bad ass combinations...Murphy's law I guess! :D

  10. Your shoes make the trousers less sweet. Creates a nice balance. I am getting a little bit better at " being creative with combinations" but only a little bit.

    2. No I don't. What you see is mostly the result of styling by friends or the shop assistant. But Sylvia (of 40+Style) says I should stop saying this as nobody believes it. Whether it is true or not. Haha.
