Ways to Wear Boyfriend Jeans | With Neon Stripes & a Rock Tee

Neon pink stripes, rock tee, boyfriend jeans
If you want endless inspiration on ways to wear boyfriend jeans, this is the blog for you…!

Once more I am wearing baggy denim because skinnies are just a bit too warm at this time of year. The UK rarely sees particularly hot temperatures, and a couple of weeks ago we went on holiday to Cornwall – it’s always cooler down there, especially along the coast. These shots were taken up on top of the cliff (yes I braved the heights!) at Perranporth, and as you can see the view is breathtaking. We battled wind and bright sunshine – both a style blogger’s nightmare πŸ˜‰

I’m glad I took my neon striped blazer for a bit more warmth as it got quite chilly down on the beach; amazingly it was warmer up on top of the cliff. My long-sleeved Blondie tee funked up the jeans a bit, and the sandals that did me proud for a day walking round Paris were so comfy, even for a hike up a hill (they’re grey, not black, now because of walking in the sand). This starts my outfit posts from my holiday in what was possibly the summer’s best week of weather – be prepared for many more sunny day outfit posts!

Are you a fan of boyfriend jeans over skinnies in the summer? Or do you have temperatures so high that you just can’t be dealing with denim full stop… do share in the comments!

I am a fan of boyfriend jeans all year long – love them! I also love your rocker t-shirt with the neon blazer, which makes everything come alive. Great post!

Beautiful photos, in spite of the wind and bright sunshine. Nice casual and funky outfit.
I love boyfriend jeans but they are more difficult to style for me as I have no hips or bum, so usually a longer, fitted jacket is in order. Which means I will wear boyfriend jeans when it is in-between-wearher, or in winter with tights and/or boots. Skinnies are my domain haha. But skinny jeans are too warm when the weather is really hot (doesn't happen too often and if it does, it doesn't last long).

I don't own a single pair of boyfriend jeans. A few years ago all I wore was jeans, but now I only one two pairs of skinnys that I only bring out on the rare occasion.

As you know by now, dearest Catherine, I am not a big fan of blazer-style jackets for myself…but this neon pink striped one is a total "wow!!" Such a cool, fun look with the band tee, the hat, and your BF jeans…and I simply adore those sandals!! P.S. The views – and your photos! – are stunning!! XO

The blazer was a real bargain-bin item, Monika – no one was going near it in the shop!! It's now one of my summer faves πŸ™‚ Thank you my lovely! x

I particularly like your way of styling print on print, and mixing up different textures. The striped blazer is a keeper, and yes, our continent is a little to hot to handle in jeans although I adore them. Boyfriend jeans are very flattering to most shapes. Nice outfit C!

I am glad to see that I am not the only one wearing that kind of t-shirt πŸ˜‰ Generally I would prefer boyfiend … ehr boyfriend jeans because loose = better for heat, but lately temperatures here have been rather on the spring side of things.

I like how you have combined a variety of textures and colours together. You can obviously take a strong colour. I'm a real fan of graphic t-shirts as they add a bit of edge to a look. I think the fedora completes the look perfectly!

Definitely yes to a graphic tee giving an outfit an edge! Thanks Lorna πŸ™‚

Ahh these photos make me miss my holiday last year! Isn't Perranporth soooo beautiful? You make boyfriend jeans look so good – I've found it difficult styling them in a flattering way but I think the little heels are a probably a must!

It was my first time to Perranporth – and yes it's absolutely gorgeous. (That beach!!) And yes to the little heels, though I have to admit I wear them with brogues a lot, Lily!

Great blazer – it really adds a WOW factor to an already-cool outfit.

That's exactly what I thought the outfit needed on the way out – so the blazer did just that! Thanks Patti x

Many of the bloggers still seem to be wearing skinny jeans in the summer. I live in Dorset and the weather has been in the 20's, so I find it far too hot for jeans. It would be great to see some outfits on your blog which don't involve tight trousers. I tend to wear cropped chinos (typical mum clothes), so would love some of your inspiration.

Thanks Jenny – if you look at my Outfits page (see top) you'll see loads of my outfits with baggier trousers! x

I really love that striped blazer, it's so summery with the neon. Those wedges are great, wee but if heel but not too much that would kill your feet walking aroundLauren
