8 British Fashion Bloggers You Should Know

8 British Fashion Bloggers You Should Know
Slightly later than planned, the wait for the latest in my Bloggers You Should Know series is worth it, I promise you! After featuring Europeans, redheads and incredibly stylish bloggers, I’ve been dying to bring you a selection of some of my favourite fellow Brits. We seem to be an eclectic lot – there’s honestly no real way to pigeon-hole British style. It can vary from region to region, and this lot hail from all over the country. Whilst we usually moan about our weather and claim that it controls our every move – including what we wear – you’d never know it with this stylish lot.

As always I’ve had a hard time trying to pick just a few favourite outfits from each for this post, but I urge you to check out their blogs yourself to see even more of their amazing style…!

Rachel the Hat

What can I say about Rachel that I haven’t said before? I couldn’t possibly do a top eight of British bloggers and not include her. Many of you know that she and I met at the Woman & Home magazine photo shoot about online friendships, and meeting her in real life made me love her (and her style) even more. I think I pin practically every outfit she wears – she makes my colour choices look positively dull by comparison and she is, as her blog name suggests, a total hat guru. Prints, colour, accessories, shoes – it’s all there and it’s all gorgeous. Every time.

Natasha looks like she belongs in Southern California, but she is in fact a British blogger. With her impossibly long legs and gorgeous mane, her blog boasts fantastic photography, fantastic design and fantastic style. She looks as great in a flowery mini dress as she does in skinny jeans and flat boots, plus I love her collection of shoes… they have me drooling with every new post.

I adore Debs’ style: feminine, quirky, and very unique – she’s a master of bold patterns and pretty colours. Her choices are very eclectic so it seems like she’s adopted a new style of dressing in every post, yet somehow each outfit still looks like “her” – I loved the pastel-floral playsuit and stripes with florals (above). She also suits the long bob beautifully which adds a modern touch – without too much girliness – to everything she wears.

8 British Fashion Bloggers You Should Know - The Little Magpie

The Little Magpie

I discovered Amy’s blog very recently, and as I always love to include a new-to-me blogger in these round-ups she was added to my list as soon as I found her. With a wardrobe I’d steal right now, she knows how to create a beautiful silhouette with a combination of interesting layers, textures and sports luxe pieces. Always sporting something very on-trend without looking like a fashion victim, in every outfit she’ll throw in something lace, leopard print or metallic that catches my eye and makes me immediately need a baby blue trouser suit or gold slider sandals.

The Queen of Sleek Neutrals and the Fierce Boot (yes, that’s her official title), Anna wows me every time with her ability to make black, white, grey and denim look anything but dull. If anyone who’s afraid of colour wants to know how to continue wearing neutrals but make them chic and modern, they should check out Anna. It’s no coincidence that her long, ombre hair and angelic face make everything look stylish, but she knows just how to rock black and denim with an array of interesting textures and fabrics.

Kristina is the master of a pop of colour. She’s as happy in taupe and black as she is in pastels or bold reds and blues, yet she’ll throw caution to the wind and continue to wear wide straight leg jeans or a beautifully textured embroidered midi when we’re being told to wear mom jeans and scuba skirts – and she’s absolutely right because they look perfect on her. A fan of bold coats and bolder accessories, she layers like it’s second nature and knows what suits her – I’ve been a fan of hers for ages.

Bumpkin Betty

I can’t think of anyone who wears pink better than Jaclyn. Her previous red hair and current blonde both work with all the shades of pink and coral she favours – I love how she’ll wear shocking pink and black to a wedding but make them look incredibly ladylike, not garish, and how she’ll add lovely details like a miniature pencil pendant or some 1930s-style shades. She’s not afraid to make bold choices, and she does casual in distressed denim just as fabulously as she does midi skirts with tailored coats. She’ll stand out in a crowd in a really, really good way.

Temporary Secretary

I’ve followed Sarah for ages – she has such a distinctive look with her gorgeous dark hair, glasses and signature wide-brimmed hat, but her style has evolved over the years and I’ve loved every step of the way. She knows exactly how to dress her petite frame with mini skirts, dresses and shorts and I’m always wowed by her choice of pretty prints and accessories. It’s no wonder she was voted LOOK Magazine’s best fashion blog a couple of years back – without doubt very well deserved.

There were so many more Brits I could have included – I’m aiming to include all my faves in as many different themes as possible so as not to miss anyone out. I’d love to include more than eight each time but I think these posts would get too photo-heavy… it doesn’t mean I can’t have a British Bloggers Part 2 later down the line.

Do you have a favourite British blogger that’s not included? I’d love to find more new-to-me blogs so do please share in the comments!

Amy, the little Magpie inspired me highly. Made me buy black leather sneakers with a high white sole. As she is wearing. Perhaps the term sneakers is not right as they don't have laces, but you know what I mean.

Ordered them, received them and… sent them back. They did not look nice on my feet. Rats.
