Ways to Wear Floral Trousers | With a Summer Sweater & Delicate Jewellery

Blue motif sweater & floral pants
Cropped floral trousers definitely herald the start of the spring/summer season.

These were part of my Fever London shopping spree when I tried on just about every piece in the store at their SS14 collection launch at the beginning of the month – the cute apple motif sweater is so lovely for spring! As the neckline was quite plain I thought it deserved some jewellery, and the perfect piece was this delicate smoky quartz pendant from UK jewellery designer Mark Milton. Those of you who know me well would know that I generally tend to favour bolder, flashier jewellery, but I love Mark Milton’s minimalist, modern designs and the fact that they also don’t get too “lost” in an outfit. The gold chain and faceted quartz looked stunning against the deep blue knit, and of course I have to mention the fabulous matching ring. With a ring that gorgeous who wants to wear any others on your fingers?!

These pieces would make beautiful gifts for a special occasion, I’d personally be so wowed if a special person in my life gave me these as a gift.

Are you choosy about what jewellery you pair with your outfits? Are you a fan of bold jewellery or do you prefer delicate, simpler pieces like these? Do share in the comments!

I love bolder more massive jewelry. My boyfriend kept giving me delicate, feminine pieces until I just started wearing his manly bracelets 😀
Adore this gorgeous blue top and the pants look like such a comfy piece!

Love the sweater and pants, such a great look, I am normally a statement necklace kind of girl, I love a big chnky bold neckace but every so often a delicate piece is a nice change

Catherine, what a cute sweater! So girly but in a good way. 🙂 And I would never think of mixing it with that kind of trousers' print but it looks great! Good job, dear! 🙂

Thanks V – as they came from the same shop it was easy to pair them as I had a load of clothes in my hand to try on… the apple and the florals just naturally came together, hehe x

The apple sweater is adorable, dear Catherine!! I'm not generally much for "graphics," but there's ALWAYS the occasional exception…and this cheery design certainly qualifies!! As for jewellery, I tend to be a bit of a minimalist; I usually gravitate to more delicate pieces, and wear whichever happen to be my current favourites pretty much all the time!!

Great outfit! It usually depends on the outfit and occasion for choosing which jewellery, for example if I wear a knitted sweater and jeans, I like to add a statement necklace to add interest. xxx

What a perfect pair of floral pants. I am a big fan of floral. I tend to enjoy both delicate and bold jewelry depending on the outfit. But always love a stack of bracelets.

Oooh I love a stack of bracelets too Lisa – but I just can't type in them, they drive me mad! They tend to come off within an hour or two ;))
