Fever London SS14 | Polka Dot Top & Geometric Print Trousers

fever London spotted top and loose patterned trousers
As a round up to the fabulous experience that was the Fever London Perfect Fit competition, I attended their SS14 collection launch party at the beginning of April as a VIP guest… I’ve been loving the perks of winning their competition! Of course I simply had to wear Fever London, and I debuted my navy and red spot print top and tapered geometric print trousers I’d been saving since I bought them when we did the the photo shoot in March. The two prints work beautifully together (all that navy and red is sooo lush), and I love the loose bow ties on the sleeves.

Someone else who’d bought the same top was my gorgeous fellow model (and now firm friend) Liz of What Lizzy Loves – she was the only other competition winner who was able to make it to the party, so we had a glass or two of Prosecco on everyone else’s behalf. It was lovely to see Liz and all the lovely girls in the Fever team again who treated us so well at the shoot. We had a bit too much fun trying on a ton of clothes, and I ended up being a typical (deep breath) ‘let-loose-in-a-clothes-shop-without-a-maximum-5-items-in-the-changing-room-policy’ kinda girl. I inevitably bought a few pieces which you’ll see in time on the blog (or at the bottom of the post if you can’t wait that long).

(By the way I couldn’t help but show off my new crystal drop earrings – I’ve already bought a another pair in different colours since I got these. I sense a new collection coming on…)

Above are just a few of the outfits I tried on which some of you may have seen on my Instagram feed – I did buy the (L-R) navy and yellow tea dress and the apple print sweater with the blue floral print trousers, but I had to stop somewhere and somehow resisted the gorgeous peacock print skater dress. I felt awful leaving it in the store πŸ˜‰

Have you stocked up on summer dresses yet? Or are you trying to be good like me (=cough=) and resisting buying too many, or any dresses at all..?

oh you are my kinda gal. That is me in the clothes shops. But, like you, I resisted a very very expensive print dress. Did not even try it on, as I knew my resistance would be out the window if it looked nice on me.
And frankly… summer dresses with an obvious print… how many times can I wear it? If I have to spend a a lot of money, I better spend it on jeans or a good black jacket as I will get far more wear out of that.
    Sensible aren't I? (Not always… actually… usually not. LOL)

The outfit is completely charming. The two pieces are a perfect merge. It is a shame you had to leave the peacock dress. I adore it. I guess a girl has to stop somewhere though with the shopping. The earrings are beautiful. I love the colors. I think you will get to wear them quite a bit this spring and in summer.

You look beautiful in all of those purchases – well done! That's my kind of shopping spree πŸ™‚

I totally love the apple print jumper and printed trousers – fab choice.

Must admit I've had a little splurge at M&S of all places – a little ruffle mini skirt and matching chiffon top for the summer: – a little different for me as I usually go for dresses as well.

Excellent job with the color mixing. I am such a fraidycat when it comes to patterns, so I always admire when someone pulls it off well! And the bracelets too. Perfect.

Oh, I'm ALL about the retail therapy right now, dearest Catherine!! πŸ˜‰ Believe it or not, I've added a pair of shoes to my collection since my accident!! And yes, there is something about a new summer dress – or three! – that feels so right for ushering in the warmer seasons; I'm thinking you might need to go back for that peacock print dress!!

Red and blue goes hand and hand and in the form of polka dots, it's like marriage made in Heaven. The tips is gorgeous and you look stunning.

I really like the apple jumper and the printed trousers, the pairing does make a very cool outfit, very chic.

After spending loads of money, I am broke so I'm trying to resist shopping. God help me. I feel like a shopoholic.

    • 16 April 2014 / 10:39 pm

Hehe I know the feeling, Naaj – that's why I *had* to resist the peacock dress. It was getting out of hand…! Thank you my lovely x

Thanks Elsie… the earrings didn't really go (colours-wise) with the top, but I just wanted to wear them regardless!!
