New Year’s Eve Fancy Dress | Disney’s Cinderella In Rags

Cinderella in rags fancy dress costume

New Year’s Eve at my parents’ house has become a bit of a tradition in recent years doing fancy dress.

This year the theme was Disney and I chose Cinderella in rags – easy to recreate and a bit different from the usual Disney princess version!

Cinderella may have been “in rags”, but she was extremely well turned out considering… her hair and make-up were perfect, and her clothes were well coordinated in shades of blue and brown. Apart from picking up a brown maxi skirt and some “glass slippers” from eBay as an accessory, I already had everything at home and simply added my mum’s white apron and put my hair into a quiff with a blue ribbon. It was also pretty amazing that I was joined by all the birds and mice that appeared in the movie. They hadn’t aged a bit 😉

Did any of you wear fancy dress for New Year’s Eve (or over Christmas) – and if so what did you dress up as? I’d love to know!
