Rainy Day Outfit | Mixed Patterns & Crazy Red Hair

Floral raincoat, star patterned snood, red hair
I thought I’d start this rainy day outfit post with the money shot of the year… one gust of wind and you’ve got yourself an instant hair commercial!

I’d just come straight out of the hairdressers as well, so although the wind and drizzly rain was not particularly welcome, I will forgive the weather just this once for blustering in the right direction at the right time 😉

So it’s been a little milder this week, but with warmer temperatures comes rain. I was glad to be able to wear my blue floral Seasalt raincoat again (it’s been too cold to wear it in the last few weeks); I layered it with a sweater and a grey marl top, and added my grey knee high boots bought earlier in the year (they’re the same as the purple ones worn a few weeks ago). Also loving the triple pattern/texture mix I’ve got going on here. That’s the beauty of layering for winter – it gives you lots of opportunities to throw it all on together, whilst at the same time telling everyone It’s because I’m cold… Which is true, but also very, very convenient.

Just over a week till Christmas, hope you’re all looking forward to the big day!
