Dressing For Winter | Sheepskin Boots, Scarf & Cape

Cream beanie and scarf with grey cape, blue skinnies & tan sheepskin boots

The cold weather has really set in now and I think this is my first proper “dressed for winter” outfit this season.

Not only am I bundled up in my cape, hat and scarf, but I’m also wearing my ridiculously warm Canterbury Sheepskin boots that I was kindly gifted a few weeks ago – I’ve had time to road test them thoroughly and I can honestly say they’re the warmest things that have ever graced my feet (and I suffer from really cold tootsies)!

New Zealand company Canterbury Sheepskin has an impressive collection of boots and slippers which are hand made from sheepskin of the finest quality, with dense wool and fine suede. Although I probably wouldn’t wear them in the summer, sheepskin is warm in winter and cool in the summer due to its moisture absorbing qualities. I chose the Artica tall boot which has exposed sheepskin and a shaped low heel – truth be told I don’t particularly like “Ugg” style boots but I think these are styled beautifully and I love them in tan. They are incredibly comfortable and as mentioned before, they keep my feet warm like you wouldn’t believe. To be able to get away with just one pair of socks inside a pair of boots and still have toasty toes is a godsend!

All boot styles and slippers can be viewed on their website www.canterburysheepskin.co.uk or you can purchase products via the online shop http://shop.canterburyleather.com – however! as if it wasn’t perfect timing with winter and Christmas too, Canterbury Sheepskin have allowed me to host a giveaway which will start tomorrow on the blog, so pop back then for your chance to keep your own toes warm this winter!

Are you a fan of “Ugg” style boots, and if not, have I persuaded you with the styling of these sheepskin beauties? Let me know 🙂

As the perfect combination of function and fashion, tall sheepskin boots overwhelmingly populate this winter. Having passed the test of time, sheepskin motif gains its steadfast dominating status on the fashion arena. I find a website for the Extreme Cold Weather Work Boots. If you want you can visit this site.

I love the cape you are wearing.

If those will keep me warm this winter, I'd give them a try! I got a cape this year and am looking forward to some colder days to wear it. Love your hat and scarf as well as the boots.

They look very warm, but I am always afraid of getting these things dirty. As they are not rubber of smooth leather. So no, you have not convined me yet (and I hate Uggs, so that does not help).

To be honest Greetje I'm mostly wearing them round the house at the moment so that's why they're not dirty! But these styles do need suede protector spray and I wouldn't wear them anywhere dirty or wet 🙂

Greetje, you might like the Sabina boots from Canterbury Sheepskin, they are waterproof, a combination of a riding boot style but with Wellington functionality and a sheepskin lining. They don't look UGG like at all.

Good suggestion Jenni, but I am afraid still not really my thing. So sorry.

I don't like the basic "Ugg" style AT ALL…but they definitely make some nice-looking styles, too…and your Canterbury Sheepskin version aren't bad either!!

I am just back from London today and it is a lot colder here with some snow predicted over the next couple of days. I could definitely do with this lovely pair of winter boots! They look warm, cosy and practical whereas Uggs are a no go for me…
Also love your cape, Catherine, fantastic look!

Thank you Annette – I always expect snow in the UK now, I think I'll just stay tucked up at home with my boots on when it happens 😉

I am in Florida, like Tracy, and occasionally envious of the fab layers and woolies you can wear! (Other times, I am happy to run around in a skimpy cardigan : > ). Great boots! xoxo
