Riding Boots Styled With a Biker Jacket & Bowler Hat

Not Dressed As Lamb

You know how I like me a good blogger style challenge?

Well I’m representing the 40s in Naturalizer’s “Style At Any Age” blogger challenge and would love you to vote for my look!

Naturalizer challenged me and three other bloggers in their 20s, 30s and 50s to style a pair of Jersey riding boots – our choice of colour – to win a fantastic prize or two…

If my look gets the most votes, they’ll ship me an additional two pairs of shoes I can either keep or give away on my blog… and you know me – I have a habit of giving these prizes away! Not only that, but five random Facebook voters will win a pair of Naturalizers of their choice, and one lucky fan will win a fall collection of three pairs – it’s a really great competition. There’s just one snag: everyone can vote for me, but only US residents are eligible to win boots or shoes directly I’m afraid (sorry)!

As for the boots themselves, they’re a great pair of flats; perfect for autumn and winter – they are so comfortable and I can get the zip done up even with skinnies tucked in. That’s unusual for me as my calves won’t get into a lot of knee high boots, so extra marks for Naturalizer there! As I went for black, I thought my black biker jacket was a good choice to get away from the country look that riding boots tend to suggest. A bowler hat takes it even further away from the country theme (well I am British), and red skinnies and a vintage shirt add colour and pattern.

So if you like the edgy look I’ve created for these boots and you think I’m worthy of a vote (remember EVERYONE CAN VOTE), please head over to Naturalizer’s Facebook page and get voting!

Thanks so much! Remember I give away all style challenge prizes I win – is that enough of a bribe? 😉

I'm am fairly certain that all that's needed to rock any outfit is a great pair of boots and a fabulous hat – and you've got both! Looks great! Good luck! Found you through WIWW.

You look fantastic Catherine as always. I love riding boots and have had to resole my black ones twice from so much wear! I might in fact have to copy this complete look one day – I promise to acknowledge the source! Thanks for sharing with Wardrobe Wednesday and good luck xo

Red and black is one of my favourite combos ever – it's my home town rugby team's colours coincidentally! Good luck with the competition.
