How to Style a Grey Jumpsuit: With Coloured Heels & A Panama Hat

Grey jumpsuit & Panama hat

I have wanted a jumpsuit for simply ages, and this steel grey, silky beauty with a sweeping asymmetric front drape from Oasap ticked all the boxes for me.

The problem with jumpsuits – a bit like dresses – is that once you’ve put them on, there doesn’t seem to be much left you can add to complete your look… it’s a ready-made outfit. So in my constant need to accessorise (I just can’t leave well alone), I added my ever-faithful Panama hat, purple heels and fair bit of gold jewellery.

As well as that impressive sweep of fabric it’s the small details of this all-in-one that I love: the pleats by the pockets, the notched lapels, the turnup cuffs on the sleeves. It also amuses me that this year I’ve become a dungarees and jumpsuit owner. What about you – have you jumped on the jumpsuit train yet? And if so, how do you style yours… I’m intrigued to find out how you ring the changes!

I have no idea why, on first seeing this outfit, I thought immediately of
Karen Blixen(Isak Dinesen)… remember "Out of Africa"? Usually I can pinpoint the reference, but it must be the overall (no pun!) retro feel of the look.
Anyway … lovely jumpsuit, and especially on you!

Love it. And the purple shoes. And the hat.
Me…?? Never in a jumpsuit. My body and jumpsuits are the wrong combination.

That is a great jumpsuit. You styled it nicely. Depending on the jumpsuit, one can wear more or less jewelry. A simple v-neck or scoop neck jumpsuit, allows for more jewelry. Your you have on you wear the perfect amount. You look great.
