I know that one of the most common mixed pattern combinations is florals and stripes, but the reason that they’re so popular is because they’re just so pretty together – especially for the summer! The way I “match” them is to ensure one pattern has at least one, if not two, of the colours in the other pattern; so here, blue also features in the floral pattern, and white is sort of in the floral as well. Just about 😉

I’m not sure if I’ve perhaps over-accessorised a little in this outfit(?), but sometimes I just want to pile it all on because I have a lot of pretty stuff I just want to wear, and I make no apologies for that! The black flower headband just doesn’t get worn as much as it should, and I’d forgotten how nicely it contrasts with the red of my hair. So I’ve piled on the bracelets, rings, a necklace, belt… It’s all there, don’t care!!

Thank you to everyone that entered my bag and wallet giveaway last week – I’m in the process of picking two winners. They will be announced on my Twitter feed, Facebook page and in the giveaway widget here. A big welcome to all my new followers, it’s nice to meet you all!

Wishing you all a happy Monday and a great week,

    Beautiful as always, Catherine!
I find the length difficult for me as I am only 5'4 but for you it looks fantastic.
Love the photo of you leaning against the wooden fence. It looks like a film scene!

Hi, I am new to your blog, but you have inspired me so much, you make me take a look in my wardrobe at what I already have before thinking I have to go out and buy something. Although I did treat myself to a Kimono from Zara a few weeks ago.
