I was recently contacted by the lovely people at university outfitters Jack Wills to style an item from their spring collection – Jack Wills is not a retailer I have ever considered buying from before, so I was up for the challenge! Like a lot of people, I had preconceptions as to the type of clothing they sold (hoodies with a logo), but I was pleasantly surprised to find out their collection includes a lot of feminine dresses, bold knitwear and gorgeous bags.

The item I chose that they kindly gifted to me was the Wyndham large shopper tote bag in the most glorious cobalt blue (they call it Bluebell) – I wanted something that was the polar opposite from the aforementioned hooded tops, so a huge, practical shopper in a beautiful bright leather seemed a perfect choice to shatter those preconceptions. I thought about choosing the neutral tan colour, but went with Bluebell in the end as it screamed spring to me and gave me a reason to break out the florals. It also gave me a chance to wear my new tangerine heels as they seemed the perfect accompaniment to a bright blue (I have a thing about blue and pink and blue and orange at the moment).

And what’s even better is that you have a chance to win the same bag as mine! Like most companies, Jack Wills have their own Pinterest board and are pinning their spring collection onto thei#GREENSHOOTS board: if you repin my image from my Pinterest board and leave a comment to say why you love the bag and include the tags #GREENSHOOTS and @Jackwills, you’ll be in with a chance of winning the same fabulous bag (worth £69.50)!

Jack Wills Pinterest Board

The same applies for any item you see on the Jack Wills #GREENSHOOTS board – repin and win (don’t forget the tags)

I think that this bag is quickly going to become my go-to spring tote – it is huge (good news for me), really robust and the colour is to-die-for. I’m so glad I went for blue and not tan; I have lots of brown/nude/tan bags so a huge blue shopper on my shoulder is going to take me right through from spring to summer. It is great that the clocks change this weekend and spring is on its way BUT… surely it can’t get any colder in Blighty than it currently is, right?! In the meantime I’ll keep pinning spring outfits and hoping for warmer days.

Good luck with entering the Jack Wills #GREENSHOOTS competition, everyone: and thanks for stopping by as always!

What a great outfit. I love the jeans/pants. And the neutral jumper with the popping accessories works so fabulously. Thanks for sharing this with us.

A little different look for you, yes? Beautiful tunic that you will eventually wear fifty-dozen ways, the little necklace is so perfect with it, and the pants and shoes make it young and modern!
Do you ever screw up? No … don't disillusion me.

Wow! You look really good with the floral print pants, blue bag and tangerine pumps! It is always great to know a new online shop. I'm sure us girls will always love the variety! =D
You've definitely made the right choice from Jack Wills.

It's getting past the perception of teenages in logo'ed hoodies isn't it? I have a few pieces from Jack Wills because they do actually do a nice range in shirts which fit me and are actually better made than some of their other high street counterparts. It's just trying not to feel like I'm buying for my son and daughter rather than for me being in my 40's and all that. But pick right and they have some lovely gems in there.

The bag is a stunning colour – good pick.

I love the outfit, particularly the necklaces; but the thing I'm most in awe in this post is your hair. I love your hair anyway, but today it just looks that little bit extra pretty

That bag is gorgeous, what a deep and beautiful color! I love the pop of it next to the gorgeous floral pants. Happy Monday!

That bag is gorgeous, such a striking colour and I love how it looks against the neutral colour of your sweater/dress and how it also lifts the colours within your trousers. I have been a fan of Jack Wills clothing for about six or seven years now and if you look past the slogan hoodies (though they were not like that when I first started buying them, far more subtle) their pieces are of a great quality and more often then not some very classic designs, which you've showcased perfectly in your choice of item πŸ™‚

Take care and enjoy your week,

I didn't even know Jack WIlls did bags for women – I thought it was a brand for teenage boys from Essex, but the shade of the tote is lovely. You learn something new everyday!
