I'm Shortlisted For A Blogger Award - Please Vote For Me!

BIF Vote for Me button
Happy Easter weekend everyone! A quick post today to ask a favour from all you lovely people: as you can see I've been shortlisted for a pretty major (regional) UK blogger award and I need votes - I'm one of 10 nominees so if you're a fan of my blog please, please, please vote for me!

(You can click the huge badge above to go straight to the voting page if you don't need to be convinced by my sales pitch below!)

The award will recognise the best style blogs from Bath and the surrounding areas (South West England), with the winner being crowned Bath in Fashion Blogger of the Year at the catwalk show on 18 April. So I get to go to the show anyway as a finalist (which is pretty fabulous by itself), and to be crowned the winner would just make my year (or perhaps my decade...)!

Voting is REALLY EASY and you don't have to enter any personal details. It's one vote per person, but it seems to be one per IP address. Therefore, if you have a home PC, a laptop, a smartphone, an iPad, another PC at work - you can vote once on every device. I'm pleased to say it's actually a very fair voting system, plus no votes are shown on the website so we have no idea who's 'in the lead'.

Click here to go straight to the voting page: (I'm second on the list: Catherine Summers :)

And if you want to read about Bath in Fashion and see the other nominees click on this link:

Thank you SO MUCH - and thank you also if you've already voted for me! Let me know in the comments if you've voted, won't you...?

Leopard, White & Black + Blogger Award: Please Vote For Me!

Leopard coat with a white dress
Leopard, black & white
Leopard coat with a white dress
Leopard & black coat
This is one of my favourite looks from a couple of weeks ago (I'm a bit behind) - this Zara leopard and black coat is just so gorgeous, I'm secretly pleased that the weather has stayed cold enough for me to continue to wear it (I've worn it today to the office, in fact).

It looks so lovely with white underneath, though I've yet to get in my head that leopard is a neutral as so many bloggers say - I think it's because it's such a statement piece that I want all the attention to be on the coat! I might have to see if I can add something glaringly bright before the summer rolls around and I have to put it away till October or so. Though at the rate we're going with the temperatures in Blighty, my summer wardrobe may have to stay in storage for a while longer :(

Two important things to share with you lovely people!

1. I'm up for a major UK blogger award - please please please vote for me!

BIF Vote for Me button
This is the first time I've ever entered anything of this scale before - it's a regional blogger award to find the best blogger from Bath and the surrounding areas (South West England). The public can vote once per person (one per IP address as far as I can tell), and you don't have to enter any personal details at all. I am so unbelievably excited so please vote for me on your laptops, PCs, phones - every device you have!

Thank you so much for your support and let me know if you've voted!!! #flippinbesidemyself

2. Don't forget to enter my £30 Zalando voucher giveaway - see bottom of the post for details.

Phew I think that's it... have a WONDERFUL Easter weekend, everyone! Hope you all get a bit of a break :)

Jack Wills Blue Leather Tote & Tangerine Heels

Cobalt blue tote, sweater dress & floral jeans
Jack Wills blue leather shopper
Jack Wills blue leather shopper

Cobalt blue tote, floral jeans & tangerine heels
Red hair & taupe sweater
I was recently contacted by the lovely people at university outfitters Jack Wills to style an item from their spring collection - Jack Wills is not a retailer I have ever considered buying from before, so I was up for the challenge! Like a lot of people, I had preconceptions as to the type of clothing they sold (hoodies with a logo), but I was pleasantly surprised to find out their collection includes a lot of feminine dresses, bold knitwear and gorgeous bags.

The item I chose that they kindly gifted to me was the Wyndham large shopper tote bag in the most glorious cobalt blue (they call it Bluebell) - I wanted something that was the polar opposite from the aforementioned hooded tops, so a huge, practical shopper in a beautiful bright leather seemed a perfect choice to shatter those preconceptions. I thought about choosing the neutral tan colour, but went with Bluebell in the end as it screamed spring to me and gave me a reason to break out the florals. It also gave me a chance to wear my new tangerine heels as they seemed the perfect accompaniment to a bright blue (I have a thing about blue and pink and blue and orange at the moment).

And what's even better is that you have a chance to win the same bag as mine! Like most companies, Jack Wills have their own Pinterest board and are pinning their spring collection onto thei#GREENSHOOTS board: if you repin my image from my Pinterest board and leave a comment to say why you love the bag and include the tags #GREENSHOOTS and @Jackwills, you'll be in with a chance of winning the same fabulous bag (worth £69.50)!

Jack Wills Pinterest Board
The same applies for any item you see on the Jack Wills #GREENSHOOTS board - repin and win (don't forget the tags)

I think that this bag is quickly going to become my go-to spring tote - it is huge (good news for me), really robust and the colour is to-die-for. I'm so glad I went for blue and not tan; I have lots of brown/nude/tan bags so a huge blue shopper on my shoulder is going to take me right through from spring to summer. It is great that the clocks change this weekend and spring is on its way BUT... surely it can't get any colder in Blighty than it currently is, right?! In the meantime I'll keep pinning spring outfits and hoping for warmer days.

Good luck with entering the Jack Wills #GREENSHOOTS competition, everyone: and thanks for stopping by as always!
