Another outfit from Christmas time - and it couldn't have been a more comfy, easy outfit... yet such a pretty one (it's the skirt that does it). This is despite wearing a grey marl sweatshirt which is really a sporty, masculine item! I was inspired by this outfit I pinned aaaaaages ago and finally got round to recreating.
I've seen a few bloggers sport their own versions, my favourite of which recently is the lovely Brooke of What2Wear - see her version here. Amazingly, I've only just realised (now looking back on her post) she used the same image as inspiration.
What would we do without Pinterest, eh? We'd all have to walk round naked as we wouldn't have a CLUE what to put on in the morning, haha ;)

Cosmic print snood: New Look, Sweatshirt: ASOS, Maxi skirt: New Look (old), Leopard flats: Dune
Shop my look! Most items (apart from the snood) are sold out I'm afraid, but here's some alternatives:
I love this outfit! I like how the sweatshirt makes a fancier skirt more "daytime." So cute! xo Lacey
ReplyDeleteCute! And the skirt is perfect for that combo... I think I´m gonna change muy point of view wearing that maxi skirt... Thanks for the idea!!
ReplyDeleteWow, gorgeous skirt!! I'd love to see a dressed up version too!

Love the inspiration photo (adored the fact that the bottom edge even had some dirt on it from wear) and this is a great recreation!

I am loving this look, the chiffon is so whimsical but the sweater gives it some grit. Looks fab.

I love this combo! Love how the laid back sweater styled with the ultra feminine skirt looks and those printed ballet flats complete the look in such a chic manner. :)

There you go again...taking seemingly disparate pieces and marrying them in perfect harmony. I love how you do this, and I confess this will likely be another inspiration outfit for me. I have literally zero sweatshirts in my wardrobe at present, simply because of the sloppy way I used to wear them. Hi ho, hi ho...off to the thrift store I go...
ReplyDeleteOh darned. This looks so good and I have a few items which could really do with an update. But this look is difficult for me as I don't have any hips. Have to be careful not to look like a stick. You have a much better figure for this.
ReplyDeleteLovely look.
really gorgeous clothing and photos. thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty skirt and I think the sweatshirt is the perfect piece to go with it. I have a tendency to wear rougher pieces with my chiffon skirt too. I can't go all the way girly - it'd be weird.
ReplyDeleteWow this skirt is truly gorgeous!!!! I also love this delicate color combination!

What a great look
ReplyDeleteI love the elegance of the skirt and the ordinary of the sweatshirt

Love this! I was on the fence about a tea length chiffon pleated skirt...and you convinced me to buy it. My husband thanks you, I'm sure. lol Your addition of a scarf is so nice. I can wait to play with my skirt. And I think Pinterest is the equivalent of high school for adults- we are all looking at what others are interested in and getting ideas, (Forgive me, I don't know what would be your country's equivalent of high school.)
ReplyDeleteLove this look on you. Fun combo!
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely outfit. I can't take my eyes off that wonderfully colored snood.
ReplyDeleteYou're flawless. Love the hair.

ReplyDeleteI love to look at Pinterest for inspiration too! =D
I believe I pinned that look too, I love the mix of posh femininity and sporty casualness! I love that you added your own twist with the beautiful scarf and leopard print shoes. If only I could make my Pinterest closet real!!! ~Sarah
