Layered Knitwear and Denim

Knitted Layers With a Peter Pan Collar and Brooch

Firstly, I must just say a huge THANK YOU to all those people who left such lovely comments on my 40 Year Old Photoshopped Face post in the week.

I really, really appreciate all those kind words, and loved how it seemed to strike a chord with so many of you! I was quite overwhelmed by the response… thanks guys!

So it’s the weekend, it’s Thanksgiving for some (Happy Thanksgiving to those celebrating!), and here in the UK we’ve been waiting for some sort of let up in the driving wind and rain from the mini hurricane we’ve been experiencing. Thankfully I got some pictures done when the weather was good, so I can show you all the warm layers I’ve been wrapping up in! I think these super flared jeans are my favourites, and this cardigan was bought from Zara last year – I’d forgotten I bought it, so it was another nice surprise when I swapped my summer and winter wardrobes over a little while back.

Here’s wishing you all a great weekend, whatever you’re doing. Stay safe and warm if you’ve got cold weather!

Catherine x

This looks like a nice and comfortable outfit for these stormy days. (The weather is much the same in Holland but I think it is worse in the UK.)
The only "problem" I have with the trousers is the length. When they are flared like this, I always want them longer, nearly hitting the ground. They would then, of course, not show your beautiful shoes, which is why I'd opt for skinny or straight.
But perhaps I still have a seventies outlook in my mind.

Just discovered your lovely blog, what an effortless gorgeous style you have! Love that cosy jumper with the jeans. You have your newest follower here…

Like you I'm a not-20-something British bird who loves dressing up, and I've recently started my own clothing, particularly to showcase the designs of my granny who was a couturier in the 1930s. Do pop by and tell me what you think!
