So a winter coat has made its first appearance on the blog this season - winter is properly here now!
This beauty was an impulse buy from River Island - its 70s styling called to me from the other side of the shop floor, willing me to try it on. I was in heaven when it fitted like a dream in all its furry, tweedy gorgeousness, all the time marvelling at its deep pockets and caressing its snug leather sleeves. I gave Mr Summers that pleading look, the one that says "I can't leave it here in the shop, I have to give it a home"... it worked like a dream and I got a reassuring nod in agreement. The romantic in me would sweep it off its feet, take it home with me and give it a loving home without further ado.
But no, I left it there and went home and bought it online. Free delivery, money off through a cashback website, didn't have to lug it home in a carrier bag. Practical to the enth degree, me.
Hooray it's the weekend - hope you all have a good one!

OK today's outfit not really my thing, but thanks for providing inspiration in your blog with such a variety of patterns, colours and styles. Really stimulating and great quality pics! Keep it up! Barbara x
ReplyDeleteLove that you bought it online when you got home! Sometimes those online codes can make a difference especially if you get free shipping. :) I love the tweed and contrasting leather sleeves and I think the bright pops of color look wonderful with the dark jacket! <3

Great casual look. The jacket is beautiful. The scarf adds a touch of fun and color to the outfit, is the element that plays more in your favor. I really like the boots, it's my weakness. The detail of the ladybug at the ear is great. A proposal lovely as always.

ReplyDeleteVery nice casual look. So perfect for cold weather. Love your ladybug earrings...cute!
ReplyDeleteThat is such a lovely coat, the fur and tweed is a great combination, and adding leather makes it really cool! The scarf is very beautiful too!
ReplyDeleteHow do you always manage to look so fabulous?! If I were to wear something like this I would just look like a big blob, but you look lovely and stylish. That coat is a dream.
ReplyDeleteLovely always, dear Catherine

I love the color of the pants paired with that vest and fur.

Ok... that coat and those pants. I need both in my life!
ReplyDeleteI've been resistant to this "working-menswear" style of boot, and it may be that I've only noticed them in black. You've taken them to classy in this color, with the wonderful trouser and menswear-to-feminine coat and really appealing scarf. Thanks for the lesson! Speaking of lessons, I've been prowling about your site a lot this week, and learned a lot generally. Thanks especially for the photography tips ... massively helpful! Always best to go to the pros ...
ReplyDeletegorgeous pants and the little details are amazing! I love how balanced your outfit is
