Colour blocktastic brights

Happy Monday lovely readers! I was so relieved Everybody Everywhere was colour blocking this month… but then I had that classic “I don’t know what to choose” thing going on for ages before I came up with the goods. But I was determined to include my knitted shrug I haven’t worn since last summer (during which it only came out once or twice), but this year I’ve discovered it lends itself to colour blocking perfectly. In fact apart from the shoes and sunnies I think everything is quite old; it seems to be my own self-inflicted criteria for EBEW to make up an outfit out of stuff I’ve owned for two years or more.

And I’d forgotten how much I love this statement necklace! Thank you ASOS for being my go-to shopping haven and making my wardrobe bulge at the seams [hmmm…]

Anyone else as obsessed with ASOS as much as me? What do you consider your go-to fashion outlet??

Thank you lovely people for your wonderful comments… I really appreciate them all! Although I don't do full on colour blocking all that often (bright colours yes, but mostly with pattern), it seems you guys rather like it. Must. Try it. More. Often.

I love the color-blocking, but I think the hat and the necklace are actually my favorite bits in this outfit. Asos seems to have some great accessories – I've only ever bought clothes and shoes from them, but I keep seeing cute necklaces and bracelets there that I want to buy.

Hello, I found you on ASOS and am so glad!! I am 41 this year and also refuse to fade to beige. I love my clothes and the way they can lift my mood and carry me through the roughest of days. I stopped buying fashion mags over 20 years ago and think this helped me develop my own sense of clothing self. Do you read fashion mags?
Oh and I love love love your nail colour.
Sartorial Splendour at it's brightest, you have made my day.

Girl you look awesome as a redhead! I just cannot pull it off like you can. Seriously love your hair color!

  24. 9 July 2012 / 9:41 pm

Thank you everybody!!! I think people often think I do colour blocking a lot but in fact I don't – I tend to throw in a lot of pattern most of the time. I should make myself do it more, it throws up the brightest combinations which of course I love!
