Whilst nothing in this outfit is actually vintage, it does have a rather retro feel to it. In fact the jeans are so old (I’ve had them for over 12 years), you could say that they are as vintage as I am…!

Following my bargain purchases of this cute Peter Pan fur collar and bird-print blouse (both ASOS), I was purposely aiming for a retro feel with this outfit. I’ve been inspired a lot lately by fabulous bloggers who are either full-on or slightly vintage… you should check out Yours Truly xMary Van Notes and Kitsune-Kun if you want the best with retro vibes. (If you know of any others do please leave me a comment with their blog url, I love vintage style!)

And I really liked this look – cute and comfortable. Can’t believe I can get into jeans I had when I was in my twenties… they are stretchy!

My cold is mostly gone now (I can breathe *at last*) – I’m feeling back in the game and my mojo is almost back. Roll on Friday πŸ˜‰

Oh, that blouse is gorgeous! And you must take good care of your jeans to have had them for 12 years! My jeans never last longer than about four years before they start falling to pieces.

Aww, thanks Stacey! I didn't actually wear these jeans for many years (hence the good condition) as my sister laughed at how short they were… until about 2 years ago when it was more fashionable to wear them shorter, now we roll jeans up or wear them cropped!! Glad I held onto them…! C xx

Love the mix of patterns and textures in this outfit – I'd have never guessed that this was a faux fur either!

And I'm glad you spotted that I mentioned your mention of me (haha) on my blog πŸ™‚

I am so inspired by this outfit- what neat pieces and you pulled them together so effortlessly! I LOVE the fur and the bird blouse is adorable!

Loads of vintage lovin' ladies out there with amazing style; try Helga Von Trollop, Sarah at Misfits Vintage, Vix at Vintagevixon, Desiree at Pull your socks up. And me! That's just for starters!
The outfit looks great. The faux fur collars are easy to make (Vix's idea actually), I found an old detachable collar for 50p in a charity shop and sewed some ribbon on to fasten – but a brooch is a fab idea too.
    Love Curtise xx

I'd love to find a bird print blouse. There is something so intriguing about them. You look fab in this outfit. Your nails look fab too. Have you ever tried A England polishes? I have some on order, they are hard to get in the US, but haven't gotten them yet.

Thank you, lovely Debbi…! And why haven't I heard about A England nail polishes I wonder, considering the amount of time I talk polish with the girls at work??!! I will look it up, thanks for the tip! C xoxo
