Yellow Tartan and a Pop of Turquoise

The January sales have been good to me, not least in the form of this lovely, bright yellow tartan cape – love, love LOVE!

It’s so practical for work as I get really cold at my desk in the winter. The blue snood is so thick and warm and I love the colour: I’ve had that and the brown Bertie boots saved in my Favourites on Asos for a few months – as soon as I saw them seriously reduced I knew they were mine. The tortoiseshell cuff and gloves were also in the sale… OMG I think I need help!!

So here’s a good tip for thrifty online shopping (only works for retailers that have a Favourites/Saved Items facility): if you’re not prepared to pay full price but still love an item, save it to your Favourites. Check back now and then and especially just as their sale is starting: you’ll usually find it reduced. Buy it immediately if you’re serious about having it, because I guarantee you it’ll sell out (that’s the chance you take)!

Hope everyone’s having a nice week – only four days till the weekend 😉

Like Jenn, I *must* stay away from ASOS today, as your outfit is too tempting. You look fabulous in your plaid cape — love those gloves too.

I like the red and turquoise accessories with that cape. I'm afraid to visit ASOS because they DO have amazing sales and the free shipping is a nice bonus. Your boots are seriously testing my resolve. 🙂

That tartan cape is spectacular! I am consumed with envy, and I love how you've pulled the accent color with the gloves and socks.
